Not much news that isn't transfer news right now, but let's get ready for the drama that is your average NUFC season. Do we have enough to avoid relegation? Will Rafa stay? Is anybody steering this ship? All these answers and more in your 2017/18 NUFC News thread!

Rafa is back from surgery. It sounds crazy to me that it was over an infection from a hernia operation two years ago. How long has he had this?! Anyway he's on the mend, and the team is pulling together too, suddenly looking like mid-table material. What's impressive to me is that almost everyone left in the squad can do a job for us. This can be a foundation for an improving PL club. Even ownership has done some good by resolving the bonus issue and promising an incentive to win the FA Cup. Not likely at all, but if survival is not at stake, I'd love to see them give their all. Is anyone else allowing themselves to feel any optimism?
