Replica Mania & ball game looking strong! I never had the match ball in the Fevernova but I had the lower end ones and I loved that ball. Great looking and brilliant for freestyle! I stocked up when I knew that they were going onto the new designs! appleCORR
This is my little collection. Nike Tiempo Legend VI (custom) adidas X 15+ Primeknit adidas X 16.1 Nike Magista Opus Nike Magista Opus II Nike Magista Obra II (custom - collar cut) adidas Copa 17.1 (custom) But my two most favorite Mizuno Morelia II Mizuno Basara 101 MIJ
Such a beauty I got recently! Another recent MIJ release from Mizuno. K-leather in the forefoot and soleplates with the same pattern as Morelia II (studs seem tiny bitty smaller maybe). Perfect grips in the inner liner. I had to buy them twice as the first pair was a size miss. I wanted to go half size up since my toes are in pain recently, but that was a mistake. I had to reorder in my usual Mizuno size.
I've wanted to get these boots but have been unsure! Would you be able to do a little review on the mizuno thread?
yes please! have been hoping for a review of it vs the Morelia 2's as well. While I don't expect the leather to be as soft, perhaps if one has a thicker leather feel etc. I'm thinking the synthetic midfoot might also give better lockdown cause doesn't over stretch. Good to know i should go true to size as well!
M2JP vs Morelia 2 (both MiJ) differences: M2JP washable kangaroo leather (not as soft as scotchgard K-leder used in M2) toe box a little lower than M2 mid foot n heel = microfibre same studs pattern but different materials used (M2 ones is better n lighter) stitching patterns in M2JP is specially constructed to prevent over-stretching (sideways) the ankle/heel lining is not as soft and padded as in M2 tongue is not k-leder, but synthetic, still pretty soft n comfy similarities: variable width lacing sys insoles underside of the tongue - padding n spongy shoe length and width feel is the almost same, though after much wearing, M2 will be "heavenly" more comfortable well, i'm not so much into weight comparison (speed is not an issue for a half-century player ) overall, nice design - contemporary yet classic still..... i hv a soft spot for blue-white-silver color combo, so.....i hv to add them into my collection...he he he. bottom-line, really worth the price-performance factor!
I read somewhere in this thread that an Indonesian Morelia II fits tighter in the toebox than a Japanese one? I have an Indonesian M2 but thinking what my next MIJ purchase should be. (Though I am extremely satisfied with my Basara 101 MIJ).
Like I mentioned in Mizuno thread, I have a L2 ankle sprain atm, so it might take a while to do a proper review on these. From just walking around inside, I couldn't tell much different between MIJ Morelia 2 and these in terms of fit, finish, and feel. I would say leather quality and thickness are very very similar, if not almost the same (imho that is). I would recommend these over Morelia 2 as they have not much difference in those 3 F factors but much cheaper in price. As jayc23 said, I prefer synthetic mid/end foot for the same reason he described, so these are my pick over MIJ Morelia 2. Colors are another reason.
I've had both Indonesian and MIJ Morelia 2, but MIJ Morelia 2 had much tighter fit in the toebox, which is the opposite of what you described. Though, I don't think it was the actual toebox size that made the difference but the difference in the leather quality that made me "feel" differently. Doesn't Basara 101 have very high toe box area? At least that was the reason why I got rid of them.
It's been a while but I came across this picture of some of my boots. A lot of them have left my collection now but I still have my Manias. A few other pairs along with a newer collection. I look back at some of those boots and think that there were some great classics before everything turned into a sock! Ahhh happy days! appleCORR
