I was brought in with Flo's return in 09 as a galáctico mod along Cristiano and Kaka. The number in my user name is not a coincidence.
Zidane: "Any team is worse off without a player like Morata. We need a ST & lets see. Until then we have CR7 & Mayoral as alternatives." Mbappé is a good player and anything can happen until August 31 but I'm only thinking about tomorrow's match and my players. If Mbappé doesn't arrive this summer, Real Madrid are considering Sassuolo's Berardi (22) or Ajax's Dolberg (19) to replace Morata. [marca]
So our DaniLOL replacement is Nacho? Idk How comfortable I am with that. Idk why he would trade being behind Dani Carvajal (the best RB in the world) to being behind Kyle Walker. Kinda silly.
According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid and Barcelona want Malang Sarr, the 18-year-old Nice centre-back. He played 32 games in all competitions last season.
Can someone elighten me on Dolberg? I saw a 3 min youtubue video, the guy looks amazing but anyone have something else onhim?
Think @Oscar posted about him a couple days back, great in the box and useless outside of it ala Huntelaar. Plus the lack of pace comment is worrisome to me, need a striker that can drive at opposing defenses. Berardi is an interesting name but not sure how he has progressed since a couple seasons back when he made a name for himself.
Poor man's Huntelaar. People who have seen him extensively and aren't Ajax fanboys aren't high on him at all.
FYP..brings back memories. I really wonder what the snagging point is in the Mbappe saga. Maybe Mbappe hasn't made his mind up? As that would signal us to make a push for a transfer..
Not sure if there's anything to this, and I admit I haven't seen a ton of his games, but the few I did see early last season he looked quite promising as a 17 year old making his first starts in Ligue 1. Seems a pretty well rounded player for a kid that looks like his future is at CB, although I've seen him look pretty good at LB as well once.
He shouldn't be a target now, but I think that's quite harsh. If you compare him to Mbappé he'll obviously come up short, but there's a reason it's Mbappé or bust. Dolberg is very young and only now breaking through. I feel some rate him only based on his performance in the Europa League final.
I love Marca. You see the headline "We're weaker without Morata, we need a striker" and immediately you're excited. When you click and read the article the quote from Zidane is "At the moment we need a striker. Later we'll see, Cristiano will return and Borja is here." It's fantastic. He said the words, but it didn't mean that at all.
Madrid are focusing on Issa Diop (20), the CB could join Castilla. Although unlikely, he could also act as Madrid's 5th CB. [@soymadridista] pic.twitter.com/ymQfdeFWGT— RmadridEdition (@RMadridEdition) July 23, 2017
He's not going from starting in Ligue 1 to Segunda B. Very similar stage in his development to Vallejo and I don't think anyone would see that as an appropriate role.
Danilo to City official. Comunicado Oficial: Danilo.👉 https://t.co/oVsZDNde1B#RealMadrid pic.twitter.com/CAUbW7K24M— Real Madrid C.F. (@realmadrid) July 23, 2017
Good move. Despite being the most expensive transfer in a final year of contract we broke even on the deal and it was hard to see Danilo come back mentally.
Really unfortunate for him that he didn't succeed here but I have a few doubts on this move: 1. He could've waited for a year and allow Achraf a year to play in La Liga to determine if he has what it takes to be a Madrid player 2. He isn't going to be a starter in City, at least not immediately. He is again competing for the position, this time with the most expensive RB in history (lol). So not sure what are his reasons for moving?? Atleast here he would've been guaranteed minutes with our rotation policy and Carva's injury record, especially towards season end
