Are they playing only 45 min? He played okay nothing major. Good passes and some bad. Kind of reminded me of his first game with Madrid. His teammates don't know his movements and vice-versa.
From what I have seen there is not much to report. Looks like a new player with new teammates in a new league in preseason.
I think he did well considering it was his first match and he arrived just a week ago from a vacation.
Yeah, he did well considering the circumstances. Just getting there. Only having a couple of practices. He participated in both goals. Looking at Bayern's preseason and its funny that they're playing almost every team that James was linked to. First one might be against Ospina. didn't know that about Fox sports deportes focusing on the Mexican players. That sucks. I was thinking the opposite would be the case since Pulisic plays on Dortmund. FS1 will likely always show their games if Dortmund over Bayern if their playing at the same time.
Usually when BM and BvB play at same time they just run the other game on FS2. They show most of the interesting games. Wouldnt worry.
Huh. Sorry, i have had it on fios and cablevision and thought my mom had it on spectrum (former twc) too. My bad. Other potential solve, as long as you pay for cable/satellite you should get access to fox's app and can stream games in hd there and cast to tv?
who doesn't have FS? All I have right now is comcast and I pay almost nothing because its from the community
James' next pre-season match is against Arsenal tomorrow morning at around 7:20 EDST. The match will be on ESPN Deportes in Spanish and ESPN3/Watch ESPN apps in English.
Pretty good half for James I was wondering how he would play on the right side and he did not look that out of place. Very active in both the offensive half and tracking back defensively. Had a few bad passes and was pushed off the ball easily a couple of times but no one is perfect. Had moments of brilliance with ball control and circulating the ball too. Best opportunity was a ball he had to trap that put him one-on-one with Cech that was shot right at him. Cech did a good job of coming out and cutting off the angle but James could have done a little bit better. Also had another play right before the HT whistle on a break that was kicked away from his foot by the defender at the last second with an open net.
I never said this was his first time on the right. Just was wondering how he would play on the right side within Bayern's system.
James played the second half. He played pretty much like his last two matches, did his job. Bayern created a lot of chances but couldn't score. Cristian Zapata played well also. Bacca didn't play.
Is that 5 games now where he has yet to contribute directly to a goal? I know its a new team but at what point should there be a cause for concern? If he doesn't step it up hes gonna start the year off on the bench
He looks hella out of place on the right side and would be better fit in the middle which is already held by Mueller. I also think he's lacking a bit of hustle from what I've seen. He needs to really show himself and ask for the ball

it's only been pre-season exhibition games for now - as long as he is getting minutes and used to playing alongside the rest of the team, i do not think the stats are that relevant at this point. real season starts 8/18/17; come mid september would be a good time to give a preliminary assessment.
