Lower level tickets priced at levels that might not actually sell out. Some of the prices are borderline absurd - and I'm someone who has bought concert tickets at NRG recently
It would be interesting to see what the net Dynamo ticket price is out of these packages. I suspect it ends up being far below face value, a good way for the club to liquidate its ticket inventory without actually advertising cut-rate tickets and devaluing season tickets further. Further value is in contacting @HoustonDynamo for bundled tix. I don't have a code/cut for these things so here's @real_madridHOU pic.twitter.com/aRnl5acFhK— Victor Araiza (@victoraraiza) May 18, 2017
OK, the cheapest face value ticket is $70 for upper end zone and corners/sideline near endlines are $80, so a quick math assuming you get an $80 ticket means you get Dynamo tix for something approaching $30 per game for the other 4 games. If they give any better dollar value seats away for the Manchester game, it's severely discounting the Dynamo game ticket prices, which I have to think they may be better seats they are giving away because at $80 a seat, why buy the additional 4 Dynamo games? Blown up by people today who talked w/ us & now realize @HoustonDynamo #ManchesterDerby plans best value for match. I actually wonder how ticket sales are when you go on Ticketmaster's website and can't buy anything above the 500 level. But 600 level seats are on StubHub for sale. And there are almost 5,000 tickets on StubHub for sale. I've been just seems very odd about this #ICC2017 pulling all the stops on marketing. How much advertising have y'all seen for this match? https://t.co/8iaNHkrMbs— Victor Araiza (@victoraraiza) July 14, 2017 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...struggle-sell-Manchester-United-friendly.html
Apparently they sold 67k tickets. But I found the dichotomy between Mr. Manufactured Enthusiasm and the teams' coaches very amusing: Hype view: My expert #ManchesterDerby 1st half analysis: OMG @ManUtd & @ManCity ARE PLAYING SOCCER IN HOUSTON!!! pic.twitter.com/nLI4g8XwwT— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) July 21, 2017 Reality: 888257108356902913 is not a valid tweet id
