Agree 100%! Save money and join us in 108. I would promise Jason will be nice, but that is just not possible..... rod.
I'm really on the fence right now about renewing my Season Tix. We are in lower SEC 129 and love the seats. We pay the highest amount you can pay, but we travel 5-6 weeks a year during the season. Normally that wouldn't be so bad, and I don't mind missing a game or two (or selling the tix on Flash Seats Marketplace) but when the team isn't performing and I can easily pick up great tickets on the Flash Seat Marketplace, it kind of sucks the wind out of committing for a full year at $1,XXX or whatever we pay for two seats. Haven't replied to my rep yet...
Pretty sure having MORE Jason isn't going to convince anyone to join us in 108. Besides, this year has been so pathetic that more interesting things just keep coming up....
So you'll be in the stands at DSG when Oregon goes to Husky Stadium then? Because whatever the Rapids do will be more interesting than the Ducks.
Michael Carrick? No, no, and no! https://www.burgundywave.com/2017/7...chael-carrick-to-the-rapids-manchester-united
Michael Carrick is hugely underrated and a player of his caliber could certainly help our attack even from the holding mid position. At 35 I'd say it's almost like NYCFC signing Frank Lampard and I'd take that especially if Carrick can stay healthy unlike Lampard.
I will be hugely disappointed if the team spends that much money on a position we don't need to focus on and leaves our attacking corps unimproved. I can't see it happening, but if it does, it'll just show this team cares more about marketing the team then the on field product.
Just got an email from my rep this afternoon. We're in 128 and a similar boat... Actually, I got a bonus right before Summer and sprang for prorated Rockies season tickets. The full season price isn't much more than I'm paying the rapids. (At 81 games a season it's a much better deal per game). They have a flexible exchange policy, transfers are easy, and selling tickets is a snap. I have an EcoPass and my kids get the student fare so we barely pay anything to get to the game - certainly less in a series than we spend on concessions at DSPG. The game day experience is also significantly better. Never say never, but I don't expect to keep both sets of season tickets. I'll have to consider 108 - how's it with little kids? What's it like dealing with the hot sun?
The sun can be a little hot during portions of mid-summer afternoon games. The lower you are in the section, the quicker the shade grows. I don't find it to be a huge issue, although there may be a few times during the season we notice it. As for kids, section 108 is generally kid friendly. We are a supporters section, so there are times the language gets a little rough. Nothing too bad, but certainly a few words about how much we value to other team's humanity. Or how we feel a ref may be doing in their job.... The camaraderie and savings really makes it a no-brainer for us (we have 6 seats, so paying RFO prices would be significant). Feel free to PM me if you want a perspective on sitting in 108. Rod.
I'm just going to leave this here: Print this out and put it on your wall because Tim Howard is hilarious. #USMNT pic.twitter.com/0IHiblx3vL— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) July 20, 2017
Sorry but I tend to disagree with Tim, esp. when South American teams twist nipples counter-clockwise -- that can just really put a player off his game because it is so different from the normal clockwise twisting and it should be sanctioned as unsporting behavior.
Yeah, last nights game was like a Suarez special, especially their CB's who both if refereed right would of each earned 6 Yellows a piece. Funny no mention of the punching, Morris had the best look right after entering the game and getting punched on run in box.
