Rumours about Fisk. Maybe the team is finally loading up for a playoff run this year.

Hearing FC Edmonton will not participate in a 2018 #NASL season and will likely take a year off before CanPL launch. SF Deltas also unlikely to participate unless a new investor is found. Potential NASL 2018 would feature 12-13 teams.

That really sucks. Now what are us Fury supporters going to do with all our FCE chants?

Hamilton and Winnipeg had already been confirmed, while York 9 and Halifax were all but guaranteed to have teams. The best news, perhaps, is that established soccer markets like Edmonton and Ottawa are joining the league.

Also positive is the instant rivalries that this list of teams creates. Specifically out in Alberta, where the first ever “Al Classico” was played between FC Edmonton’s Academy and the Calgary Foothills U-23 team on Sunday. More than 3,200 people came out

Let’s start with the name on everyone’s lips: Amer Didic.

FC Edmonton’s towering centre back made history twice last Friday by becoming the first CPLer to play and score for the Canadian men’s teamin a 4-1 win over Barbados. His stock is on the rise, especially considering his 2019 season with the Eddies, and people are noticing.

His current status? Well, “on the market” could be an accurate description. FCE coach Jeff Paulus seems more than open to a move.
