"TVi24: Ruben Neves on way to Wolverhampton. Deal for around 20M. His buyout with FC Porto was 40M but Porto financial issues forced move." Can't believe no one else would be interested for that kind of money. So probably rubbish.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say, in isolation, I like the rudiger signing. Right talent at the right price. It's obviously colored by the Ake sale right now. But by itself I think it's a good signing. I can't have my cake and eat it too. Once Ake is gone, the next signing deserves to be analyzed on his own merit.
The money for the player is fair in a time where everyone is worth stupid money but we had a young player in Ake that is equal in talent and didn't cost us anything while also being part of our academy program because of when we signed him. It was business for the sake of business. Unneeded.
From Portugal: Wolves have signed Ruben Neves from Porto in deal worth around €20m. #Wolvesfc #WWFC https://t.co/TcP8lhaapb pic.twitter.com/KyODDMNH7J— Sport Witness (@Sport_Witness) July 1, 2017 Well guess it wasn't rubbish after all
Anyone have a sense of where we are on striker? In perusing the Sky Sports Transfer Center, there was a note about Atletico moving forward with Costa, even though he couldn't play til January. Not sure if that's how the ban works, but I also couldn't find it when I looked back down the stream today, so maybe they pulled the report. On the same feed I've seen cooling on Lukaku and coalescing on Morata's intent to join MU, plus a $125m bid for Mbappe from Arsenal, and another for Lacazette. We seem to have gone dark on striker.
Given that Everton have been spending 20 and 30 million on assorted players. I like we can assume the deal is done and everton are already spending their cash. If Atl Mad want to spend 50m on a player who cant play until Jan who are we to say no?
Honestly, I hope behind the scenes and far away from the media, Conte and Costa are working things out. Because I can't see us fairing any better than Conte putting his ego aside and Diego deciding to do the things need done so a proper transfer to AM can happen after he nets 20 in 2017-18 for Chelsea.
This is very much the same as Juve and Pogba last summer. Fans were panicking but it was very evident that the deal was done and were waiting on Juve to complete their transfer dealings.
https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2017/7/2/15909082/chelsea-loan-system-buyback-baby This article in the goals and practice of Chelsea's youth development program should be interesting to the board, especially in the context of sales and buyback clauses.
This....just doesn't look right. It was like seeing Lampard in a Man City kit. Looks almost like someone used photoshop to make a bad joke.
Read a report that he didn't want to play us in the league and hence rejected other PL suitors. His respect only grows in my eyes.
