They're loaded. They have been for a while. FFP and selling people on playing in St Petersburg are their setbacks. With the world cup in Russia next summer, they might be trying to create some early buzz.
We didn't lose a few players. We lost our most dynamic forward and along with him 19 goals and 15 assists. Let's not fool ourselves, Salah was more than just speed, the guy can flat out play. It's not going to be so simple to replace him. We lost arguably our best CB. Again, the guy was a headcase but he can play. Moreno is a fine backup player but if he's starting we haven't improved our defense. So again, we need to replace Manolas with an established CB not a 20 year old South American and that is easier said than done. Monchi certainly has the experience and the track record to suggest he can replace Salah and Manolas but until then, it's just money and it doesn't equal more wins. Edit. Oh, and while most people want to minimize Paredes as a 4th MF, he played as many games as DDR and nearly as many mins

Salah I can agree with saying could play and is a loss, I will miss seeing him on the pitch... But he wanted to go and he earned that right. I can't blame Roma for taking the money. Parades i'm still on the fence about so i'm not as torn up as everyone else seems to be. Manolas was good as well, probably our best CB, again I agree... But if he was a problem in the locker room then he can go... This team needs to push to be something more than they've been and my hope is that this is our chance. I completely understand not being excited about the losses and having a wait and see attitude but I'm really tired of roma being an OK team that gets the the CL and gets throttled in the knockout stages... or that fights for 2nd place and finds that to be enough... I'm ready for the big show and after waiting for this team to finally wake up i'm hoping Monchi and company are the guys to take them there. But, i'm a bit of a hopeless optimist when it comes to this team so i could be wrong...

Great Post. I'll admit part of my frustration is reading all the rumors and honestly, I should know better. It just gets me mad to see us sell those players and then read the rumors about Lemos or some other 20 yr old CB. I agree, I want to see Roma take the next step and maybe we need to take 1 step back to take 3 steps forward. I just want us to get to a place where we are offering competitive salaries so our players don't want to leave. I should just wait until I see who Monchi buys, the guy has a great track record for sure.
Yes but also due to this, no one is going to sign him, we can only keep him as 4th~5th CB. Best case is to send him out on loan and get a Serie A proven CB like Izzo and 1 wonderkid like Foyth.
After all of these sales I'm fully expecting another big, Dzeko-type signing. I'm fine with collecting some young talent, but I want to see some big guns arrive if we going for this much of a turnover.
Don't worry @Vulpinous, I see everything. #ASRoma just sold a winger - that scored just one goal against its five top rivals this season - for €50 million. He's got great passing range and is good in the air, he's a leader ok the field but those are his only notable qualities

Milan have problems renewing for Suso, he's my favourite option for RW from Serie A, I'll take him for 20-25M.
Thought he was older than 23; I remember hearing about him from my Liverpool friend a few years back. He's developed into a nice tidy little player.
Falque 2.0 Pass. It is big red flag when someone looks average even on Youtube highlights. Even Iturbe has decent Youtube videos.
