I still don't understand how St. Louis is listed in the Expansion forum. They have played a full season & are entering their second. Full steam ahead.

    S0 lazy.

they will only move threads around in these parts if they gain traction and if we ask politely...so we now have to get workin' on that "steam"!

STLFC fall in stoppage time to Real Monarchs. Link below...
    http://saintlouisfc.com/sports/msoc/2016-17/releases/20160327052890

The defense looked strong for most the match. A few let downs, one leading to the goal in stoppage, but otherwise a strong first outing for the 2nd year expansion squad. Patrick Doody (on loan from CF97) played very well. Touches in the final third were suspect and need improvement. STLFC beefed up it's striking power in the off season with signings of Ivan Herrara and Tshuma to go along with last year's lone wolf Lynch. Look to see STL put some goals in the net with these three in rotation. Tshuma looked good in the match versus the Monarchs, however.

The young man who went down with an apparent seizure has been released from the hospital. That's relief for anyone who was watching the live broadcast. Scary moment, glad he's ok it seems.

Next Match: STLFC @ LA Galaxy II 9:30 pm CST

Just wanted to say StL FC players were class acts this past weekend with the injured Real Monarchs player. They went above and beyond. I hope my kids can grow up to be like those players. Good job!

PS Also thanks for the 3 points. :)

Yes it is awesome to have a USL soccer team in St. Louis. However, the St. Louis Ambush are also a pro soccer team which plays indoor soccer at the Family Arena in St. Charles. If y'all are 'outdoor only' soccer fans, that is fine. Just don't pretend that our other professional soccer team does not exist. There were 2 Ambush players on the St. Louis FC roster last season, FYI.

Merely an oversight. Sorry? This is a thread about OUTDOOR soccer in the USL. Wasn't even aware that indoor was discussed or much less cared about in these forums. No need to attack, we're all supporting the same thing on this site.

Saint Louis FC defeats Sacramento FC 1-0. Ambersley goal in the 58th minute was enough for the Saints.
Great win for the club, puts STL at 8 pts and moves them up in the table. Glad to see the boys get a hard fought (and perhaps lucky) 3 points on the road. Next up is Vancouver II @ STLFC on April 30th. Would be nice to see a victory at home. 5000+ expected again for the 2nd home match of the season for STL. See you at the Park!

Very excited to see how the Saints fare against cross-state foes Swope Park. Should be a great crowd on hand at Soccer Park for this one. STLFC coming off a couple week hiatus after postponing the Vancouver 2 match last week. Swope has shown signs of quality play this year. Many, at least in the STL area, hoping this match will ignite a sort of rivalry within Missouri soccer faithful. I think regardless STL fans will show out for this one.

U.S. futsal international (Syracuse Silver Knights) Antonio Manfut's 24th-minute goal was enough to send AFC Cleveland into the second round at St. Louis FC.

Known as SC STL, the group will fund much of the construction of the stadium project, which is estimated to cost just under $200 million. SC STL will also fund the entire MLS expansion fee as established by the league as well as the acquisition of the Saint Louis FC USL team, the famed St. Louis Scott Gallagher youth club and World Wide Technology Soccer Park to create a holistic soccer organization and build a developmental pipeline of homegrown soccer talent from the youth to professional ranks.

For relevancy, it should be pointed out that Kavanaugh the owner of St Louis FC and Scott Gallagher is now the co-investor and secondary principle in this new MLS investment group called SC STL.

too bad this thread is so quiet. I would really like to get feedback from STLFC fans on how they are warming/rioting over Preki's management style.
