Well, checking out the new digs. How are y'all doing? I'm really curious to see if the Fury and Rowdies cut through the Eastern Conference like hot knives through butter. It should give us a better idea of the quality of the teams in NASL compared to USL. Will it be Div 2 in both name and quality or not?
Former Toronto FC and Canada midfielder Julian de Guzman has retired from playing to take a dual management role with the USL Ottawa Fury.
After week 3, yes for Rowdies, no for Fury. Tampa undefeated with 3 wins, Fury in last place with 0 points in first 2 games, it does have to be said that the Fury has lost 3-2 to Saint Louis and 1-0 to Tampa, who are 1st and 2nd in the league table. Next game away to Richmond who are in12th place. Also Fury started the season with 3 away game whereas Tampa started with 3 home games.
As a Charleston fan, we've played both Tampa (win in Tampa) and Ottawa (draw in Charleston) so far and I'll be surprised if both teams aren't in the playoffs. Here are some photos from Mrs. Bribe Taker from our match vs you last Saturday. Charleston vs Ottawa
Thanks for the pics. Looks like you get a decent turnout down there, even if we are a Canadian team. We get to play against FC Edmonton tonight in the Canadian Championships and it's going to be cool and damp. I'll look at those slides and pretend I'm somewhere warm. I really hope we beat FCE.
The Canadian Premier League has received unanimous support to join Canada Soccer. #CANPL— Canada Soccer (@CanadaSoccerEN) May 6, 2017 Ottawa Fury must make a decision. If Eugene Melnyk of the Ottawa Senetors ever wanted to be part of the league, Fury could be missing the boat. 10 cities already showed their interest in bidding, it would be naive to think that no one from Ottawa showed interest
https://www.socceramerica.com/artic...ts-toronto-fc-in-first-leg.html?edition=17248 The USL's Ottawa Fury took the first leg of the Amway Canadian Championship semifinal series against MLS leader Toronto FC with a 2-1 comeback win.
That was a great 8 days for the Fury, 4-3 win against NYRB 2, 2-1 win against Toronto FC, and a 5-3 win against Richmond Kickers
