I don't mind Herrera as he is a hardworking player but if there is any chance to buy Verratti then Barcelona should do everything to win him over. The only chance for Verratti to leave is the player himself ask his club he wants to leave. No one can stop a player from leaving if he decides to leave not even Donald Trump. Madrid will spend big on Kylian Mbappe and will lose if it comes to Verratti, they would have to sell Modric and Isco to accommodate signing Verratti while Barca will sell Gomes and/or Raki which we are all fine with.

I love Herrera , have done for a while but he's a fixture in United's midfield now .... He'd be five time better than bladdy Rakitic IMHO

Sounds to good to be true ..

Herrera is a backup player at most. Barça needs a regular that can create and dribble twist and turn and those don't come cheap. Iniesta is finished at the top sadly and without a good attacking midfielder then I don't see Barca competing at the top level. Herrera would be a decent addition incase he comes cheap and he's proven.. Not like shitmes which was a pathetic gamble.

Well you've just described Coutinho !!

I'd take him AND Herrera and ship Rakitic out the door ...

Herrera for what it's worth is the new manager's TOP request apparently ...

Nope. Rakitic is needed for depth. He's a proven asset and should not so lightly be sold for scraps to likes of Milan or Inter.

I also agree Veratti would be fine if the price is around 60 mio euros,it is all upto Veratti.

We must sell Andre Gomes and Rafinha,we forget that we are getting Sergi Roberto back in midfield and thats a huge signing.I will be a little upset about Rafinha leaving because he can fill in many positions but thats ok.

What Barca also need is to strengthen with minor (cheap) signing of some established players that are leaving other big rich clubs, like City, PSG and hope they spark to life in Barca for depth. Taking risks on shit unproven players like Shitmes and Alcacer is what can cost you dearly both financially and on the pitch. Sadly looks like the board is sticking with the imbeciles who put Barca in a bad spot.

Hopefully Neymar doesn't leave for Man Utd. Pic from today's training.

Roberto Fernandez is under pressure to buy some good players or he will be sacked. Most of the bad or unused signings aren't his fault. Gomes, Arda, Vidal, Mathieu and not buying RB all on Luis Enrique, not Roberto.

Now Lucho is gone, he has the chance to fix all those issues.

Word is Barca offered more money to Vinicius Jr. If true, can't see how the team can't splash money on good transfers this summer.

At least we know Unzué is not the new coach as he has just been signed to be Celta Vigo coach for two years!

I'm reading Nolito is looking to leave City? Maybe a cheap depth for Neymar? Especially when he takes off to visit his sister? Or celebrate his birthday?

enough of mediocre players. Ousmane Dembele can play in Neymar and Iniesta's positions, he is the one we should be buying for AM/LW/RW/WM positions.

    Status of our defenders:

1.Pique-The boss, great season from him and doing well
    2.Umtiti-Starter and a great buy
3.Masche-Could mostly leave but el jefe is a great guy to have on the team even without minutes
4.Mathieu- Has to go but he has played with Valverde in the past but will go
5.Marlon- I feel he can be great and will be in the team

    The signings though of are:

1.Laporte- great player, has been developed by Valverde but a lot simialr to Pique and will cost atleast 50 mio euros
2.Davinson sanchez- Amazing player doing great at Ajax, will cost 30-35 mio euroes.
3.Yerry Mina- This is a 195 cm giant of a colombian, excellent in the air, great with the ball and in tackle. He can also play defensive mid like Davinson,a bet which is a must in the summer.

I dont think Laporte will happen,he is most likely to go to ManCity

Very interesting list of players coming off of their contracts and free to sign, most are older and certainly not Barca STARTER quality, but one or two might add depth and experience at a low cost, without permanently blocking the ascension of young talent from La Masia or elsewhere: http://ysihd.me/abc/
