Hunter Harrison apparently had a great training session in Germany. Can someone confirm the crest? Hunter plays for Dallas Texans and will be a freshman at Oregon State next fall.
Pretty sure that's VfL Osnabruek. They also had another young American GK there recently. http://www.vfl.de/ EDIT: And that guy's name was... https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...s-for-kendall-mcintosh.2002192/#post-29792130
Yes his team Dallas Texan USSF U18 advanced to the quarterfinals today in the U19 group. Play at 11am CDT Friday. He told me that he learn a lot from Stefan Wessells and Kendall. Basically, the US scout that was with him recommended that he play 1 to 2 years at Oregon State and train once a year back in Eruope. Hunter keeps in contact with Kendall and he told me that Kendall will probably be signed by Osnabruck.
I saw him play Knowsley on Monday. Thought he did very well. Knowsley played the typical English style with a lot of aerial service. Not just booting it up, it had purpose, but still very direct. I think Harrison only misplayed one corner in a combined two dozen cross-scenarios. He was favoring his (right?) leg for some reason. Couldn't tell if it was knee or hip or what. But his goal kicks didn't suffer at all. He routinely hit them past midfield into the wind. Late in the game, a defender turns the ball over and Knowsley has the speed to counter quickly. The kid takes a shot from inside the 18 and Harrison covered a lot of the goal to make the save that was drifting back post. His spring is unbelievable. I think he keeps his hands a little low on crosses because I saw him catch several just above face-level but otherwise he is set to make a big splash. I don't know a ton about Oregon State's gk situation but I can't imagine Harrison would be going there if he didn't have a realistic chance at starting. Last year's starter, Matt Bersano, will be a RS junior although he missed a handful of games sprinkled through the year. Not sure why.
He just completed his freshman year at Oral Roberts. http://www.oruathletics.com/sports/msoc/2015-16/bios/harrison_hunter_nfxp?view=bio
After spending a season with the Tulsa Roughnecks, Harrison is now with Meralco Manila in the Philippines newly created (first division) league, the Philippines Football League. Apparently the PFL is replacing the UFL which Wikipedia implies wasn't FIFA-sanctioned because (I think) it was a regional league and not nation-wide, despite being the highest level. Only four foreigners are allowed on each team in the PFL and so far Harrison is one of three Americans in the league: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Philippines_Football_League#Foreigners
Has now signed in the NPL in Australia: Goalkeeper and #SmartPlayer Hunter Harrison has signed in the 2nd tier overseas. ⚽️ Our Soccer Smart USA team is here to get things done for players.
