I would not be too much in favor of that.

The fact that he posted that pic with that caption tells me Zizou gave him the good news. Because in dreams nobody comes off the bench.

    Lol.

I thought he played well yesterday besides that goal situation he passed to CR instead of going for it. I hope he gets a little more selfish like we saw on that Bayern goal. Overall really great player we have on the squad.

Agree, he wasn't as good as he was in either leg against Bayern, but he was the best of any of our attackers by quite some distance.

His final ball was bad. Had it been good we'd have scored another two goals.

Could have had a great assist if Lucas' finishing wasn't bad. I love this kid.

Surprisingly fast too, I always thought of him as a Silva type player. Amazing skill but not exactly a pace demon, he's surprised me on that front. Moves deceptively quick in full flight and has a mean turn of pace.

He is agile, technical player who is fast with the ball at his feet and is able to control it. Alongside Kovačić he is probably the fastest in the team in that regard.

And very rare in the world. Silva has the same, but misses the pace, which makes Asensio very complete.

I really enjoy his confidence. Looks for shots and isn't afraid to try things out there.

He knows where to shift his weight, that makes you look quicker than you are. I used to do that a lot when playing. If you notice a defender catching up to you from your left shoulder for example, you start darting to the left side so the defender is delayed by having to switch sides. Isco does this for example at the beginnin

Akram es el mejor extremo. Fichaje Don Florentino, por favor.

Hehe, still in my golden years, you know where to find me Floro

Seems I forgot to finish my previous post. I meant to say Isco did that too at the beginning of this goal:

Marco does that a lot when dribbling past players, he seems like a very clever player (not showboaty like Ronaldo or intuitive like Di Maria).

I like Asensio on the right side, even though I know he moves around alot. I am really hoping that some epl team comes in with a mega bid for Bale and Bale is homesick. :whistling:

A player of such potential should be played more centrally.

I don't think Asensio is actually all that fast, but he does have an amazing change of pace, similar to what Messi accomplishes on a much higher level.

Just at the begining of his RM career, he has already scored against two of the top keepers - Buffon and Neuer
