The Sweden game has faded from memory, and thus, from the thread. . .

It's nice we are in the confederations cup , looking forward to more seleccao action

We got an away qualifier against Latvia in June , then 3 or 5 (depending if we pass the group, and there is a third place play off ) matches then in the fall there are qualifiers against against Faroe Islands , Andorra Hungary and Switzerland .

I could see Ronaldo reaching 80 international goals by the end of 2017. He is on 71, and with competitive matches against the likes of Latvia , Andorra, Faroe Islands , Hungary (he has four goals against them in total) , New Zealand this year you could easily see him hit 8-10 goals . 80 might be a conservative target .

We could also get two extra World Cup play off qualifiers . Although hopefully we finish first and qualify directly.

If he stays healthy and avoids injury he will likely exceed puskas 84 goal record for a European national team before or at the 2018 world cup

Pepe now considering PSG/Manchester City as potential moves so he could go to Russia. According to the media, he's turning away from China.

we were beating them 2-0 before we swapped the majority of the team. No surprises we all know integrating new players only works when it's one or two at a time and familiarity already exists within the players. Too much new blood always leads to losses or draws NBD in a friendly.

Great decision in comparison to playing in China. I'm really happy Santos and his agent steered him away from that.

Andre Gomes is just brutal, absolutely brutal right now for Barcelona.

He wasnt great vs Hungary either, did decent but you could tell even then he lacked some confidence carrying the ball and struggled when coming under pressure with the ball.

Enrique has a hard-on for him.

Just like Mourinho has one for Fellaini.

If you add to that, that he has always wanted to play for Barça, the whistling and fallout, Gomes could get emotionally slaughtered at Barça before the end of the year.

Friendly vs. Cyprus in June in Estoril . Cyprus has Renato Margaça, a former U-19 Portuguese NT player.

I'm not sure where else to put this so I'll just leave this here.

Bruma has been excellent this season, and Tottenham seem to be on the brink of signing him for next season if Portugeuse news is correct.

Can he have finally smartened up? Him and Gelson Martins outwide offer us some great options with Nani and Quaresma on the wrong side of 30.

wow, but that video showed him score 13 goals for Gala when he only played 13 official games this year with 5 goals. 9 official Gala goals in 3 years but you can see his acceleration is Messi-like, no one can catch him in the Turkish Lig. He will prob be another Quaresma for us squander his best young years but provide magic with age at a time when other players hang them up.

    Good squad,

Eder has scored 6 goals all season

Anthony Lopes personally called Santos saying he needs time to deal with a grave personal situation, so that explains the reserve keepers.

Should be the last time we see Bruno Alves, Neto, and Eliseu on the national team, starting in August Mario Rui/Coentrao (with more playing time) and a couple of the younger centrebacks should be in more prominent situations.
