Manchester United’s signing of Paul Pogba proves they are still box office Paul Pogba is targeting the Premier League, Champions League, and Ballon d’Or following his world-record switch back to Manchester United. Months of speculation and negotiation finally came to an end in the early hours of Tuesday when United made the official announcement that they had re-signed Pogba from Juventus. Four years on from departing Old Trafford for Juve without making a first-team start, the France midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the option of a sixth after United agreed to pay a world-record fee of €105m (£89m). On Sunday, with Pogba given permission to undergo a medical, manager Jose Mourinho said he felt the 23-year-old was coming to the “perfect” place for him to become the best player in the world.
Yep. Footballers are getting too much money these days, and the transfer fees are absurd. Juan Mata is right. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...a-reckons-footballers-are-paid-too-much-money
I never saw Pogba play at Juve, and haven't watched France play very often. So after watching his first few games in the EPL, I'm honestly curious...what is it that he is supposed to do well? I'm not looking for an argument here...it's only a few games, and I'm sure he'll show his class. I'm just looking for a Pogba 101...what should I expect to see when he is at his best. thanks
I was going to start typing, then I thought I'd google a scouting report and save myself the time Here you go - pretty good breakdown of his game here. https://grup14.com/article/paul-pogba-analyzing-the-most-wanted-young-footballer-in-the-world
That piece does a good job of summing up Pogba. He is pretty close to the complete player. I've always liked him, regardless of his time at Juve (and what those four letters mean to the rest of Italy). One intangible thing about him is that he's not a big head. He develops a lot of bromances that turn into on-field chemistry. Two things about him watching him in Serie A: 1) His flair is inorganic. Is he skilled? Absolutely, but it's not second nature right now, and he tries a little too hard to be flashy sometimes. 2) He has titanium balls. He is not afraid to try anything at any time. Can be relied upon to dig a team out of any and all trouble at this point? No, but his best moments will come in the biggest games. Relative to Martial's price tag of 80 mil, was Pogba worth 100 mil? Probably, but he's not shoring up a shaky foundation on his own.
I just a funny fact about Manschester, it is the club Manchester United selling more replica shirts than any other club -in the world. ( http://www.newsody.com/news/manchester-united-selling-more-replica-shirts-than-any-other-club-including-real-madrid/587245/ ) . Now i guess there will be more and more tshirts with Pogba's name. Everybody's looking what he will bring once on the field... but i have a good feeling about his career among ManU
It is a joke maybe now is going to go back to juventus. No problem whit having a lot of money ,but you have to spend it wisely
