Now 12 wins from 12 beating a 57 year old record for best start, if we can get to 16 wins we beat a 93 year old record. #perfectseason. Oh and 14 points clear of second place.

A draw away to Galway united ended the streak last week with 12 wins in 12 games. Great start and a stil 12 points clear of second place Bray wanders.

I'm not sure if anyone has even checked this but Champions!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be fair over the last 7 games we only one once since we sold our top goal scorer and a solid midfielder and another midfielder got injured but we won it with 2 games to go. Cup final vs Dundalk on the 5th of November will be difficult.

Oh double winners! I flew from Oregon USA - Dublin + bus for last game of the season and cup final. great trip. First time in the club's history. Lots of signings for next season already and we are doing full 52 week contracts while most clubs are doing 40 week contracts. This is an important step in Irish football. Year's ago it used to be that way but since the recession clubs went back to part time and 40 week contracts. For anyone outside Ireland (the players can claim unemployment for the other 12 weeks of the year)
PS. I wonder if anyone else actually reads this tread and even cares about #bestleagueintheworld

I'm a big supporter of the LOI and congrats to Cork. Instead of hoping English teams develop our players, we need to support the clubs at home. There is a touch of snobbery and elitism for the non-LOI supporting so called soccer fans and they love to put down the game at home. The league won't grow until people in numbers show up and support. It might be shyte at times but it's our shyte.

I say the LOI is one of the most underrated leagues in western Europe. Some quality players, in front of small crowds.
