Freddy Adu has signed with Serbian club FK Jagodina. Coincidentally or not, the team's nickname is "the Turkeys."
Looks like a decent bet that they get relegated ... nothing would make me more proud than a United alum tearing up the Serbian 2nd div ... I bet Campbell's soup sales are going through the roof in Serbia
Serbia has never had a seacoast so unless there some extensive flooding on the Danube, Freddy is not liable to wash up there.
He's done -- already. Claims it simply was the expiration of a 6 month contract. He played 13 minutes total in a Cup competition. SBI says Freddy has played a total of 59 first team minutes since leaving MLS in 2012. He should join Szetela on the Cosmos.
Did his "press agent /one boy fan club at the Post" ever mentioned it? Last year he covered up his lack of time by saying he didn't play rather than the more truthful not in the 18.
He moved on from Serbia, and was in Finland for a while. He's now leaving Finland (he allegedly activated the escape clause in his contract), for possibly the NASL, or MLS, according to SBI. The Freddy Adu World Tour has almost come full circle.
And now he's with Tampa Bay Rowdies - http://www.wralsportsfan.com/much-a...reddy-adu-to-miss-game-vs-railhawks/14806509/
don't look now but Freddy has actually worked his way INto the starting lineup...starts in the last 3 games and this assist late to earn 10-man Tamba Bay a draw
Good thing you started post with that because I was almost tempted to look ... The sad thing is that whatever clever assist Adu did is probably still better than anything our midfield has done all season ...
On this day in 2004, Freddy Adu first played for DC United, becoming the youngest player to do so - came on as a sub against SJ
