Have you seen reviews of the new style Score shirts? I did a sight and feel test a couple of weekends ago at a regional convention and I thought they were comparable to the OSI ones, although I didn't have mine with me to compare. Wasn't aware they had actually been sold anywhere yet, March was when they were supposed to be available.

Don't know about the new kits, score used to be one of the top off brands. They ran a bit small though.

And they weren't even the same color! If you're going to do knock off they could at least get the color correct.

To be fair none of the off brands were color perfect. Score just had higher material quality standards.

IMO they at least got yellow right for the new style. Can't speak for the other colors.

Which is why no one in their right mind should buy them. If the could get them correct I bet they'd sell more.

Probably technical reasons why they can't match it exactly.

I doubt that any of these companies make their own fabric, so I can imagine OSI having a contract with their fabric supplier along the lines of "give us colors that no other supplier currently has in their product line, and sell your fabric only to us." That leaves the competition to find another supplier willing and able to color match.

Color matching things it not difficult for people in the fabric or printing industry and even paying to have it professionally color matched at a lab is not very expensive at all.

Here I was trying to give the other companies an excuse for their poor color matching, but if what you say is true then I guess they just don't care.

Just received a new style jersey for games this weekend from Krownsports for half the cost of OSI. I don’t have color to compare but all the markings (minus the fed logo) and the side vents seem dead on. 100% polyester so material feels a little different from memory of OSI ones I’ve held but I think it will do me well. Not affiliated in any way just thought I'd share.

So, just an update on this place. I emailed their sales folks about shipping and they replied back right away that it was a problem they have with small jersey orders and their UPS app. Shipping for a single jersey to Illinois from their place in Seattle would only run $12.50 by UPS or $6 via USPS (with no tracking).

Also, for long sleeve they only have yellow currently. Other colors will be available by June.

Who's giving odds on extending the 2018 cutover date for these things?

I still see people wearing pin stripe.

I was at a tournament where a seasoned center wore the pinstripes, a middle aged AR1 wore the wide stripes, and the teenage AR2 wore the new jersey. They were the same color and the socks matched!

I had a game last week where my Ar (a ref who has been around for a long time) said he will not change his old pinstripe jerseys that are faded to where the yellow looks white.

He is only going to stand out, when everyone else upgrades to the new jerseys.

I must've had a premonition. I had two games today and where one member of our crew wore the old-style pinstripes, and one wore the old wide stripes, and I wore the new style. Nice fields, but nothing but Porta pottys. Ugh.

Ordered and received a LS yellow from Protime, $29.90 including shipping by USPS (priority rate small box).

The material is cool wicking, identical to OSI. It doesn't have the side vents, but I wasn't too concerned about that since I'll be using this for cold weather days anyway. The sleeves (medium) weren't too short and have an elastic cuff, just the same as my wide-stripe Kwik Goal LS jersey.

The color looks pretty true compared to the OSI jersey, maybe only slightly brighter because it hasn't been washed yet:

Even laying the sleeve over the OSI jersey it's hard to discern much color difference:

So, all in all, pretty solid effort from Protime.

Thanks for the comparison. I'll definitely be going OSI for the jerseys I use the most (short sleeve yellow and green), and then finding a cheaper but close-enough brand for all the others.

I broke down and bought all new jerseys. It was a struggle, because I have all 5 colors in the stripes - but only the Green, SS yellow and LS black are wide stripes. I have a notice that for upcoming tournaments - wide stripe and new may be worn - but socks should match. For my Spring HS matches, we are requested to wear stripes or new with matching socks. It will be an interesting Spring; first matches are Sunday.

So in reality you're saying they will come just in time for the Fall season??

We are supposed to match styles, so I always ask "old or new style?" The last two times I've asked, they thought I was referring to pinstripes...
