You are assuming that he is available for the job, but I don't think he is. (He's also busy with Imabari)

It may be of some comfort to consider the possibility that no one (including Lippi) gives a shit what the Italian press has to say.

I wouldn't count Myanmar and Hong Kong necessarily out at all.
Also I'm curious to see if Nepal has stepped it up a bit but the group is still too much for them

Agree, and I wouldn't count Turkmenistan out also.

Group F is certainly the strongest one.

So South Korea lost to China!!!

As I said earlier China will not qualify but will ruin other teams of direct/indirected qualification, the same could be said about Syria and Qatar.

Really entertaining. Uzbekistan lost their biggest chance to upset that pool though and I don't ee anything else than Iran - South Korea advancing.
Still, good that the competition is raising.

I think Syria is doing a good job, they drew against both Iran and S.Korea and defeated Uzbekistan and China (in China), which gave us that they aren't pushovers and that Japan did really a good job by beating them 3-0 and 5-0 (8-0 on aggregate) in the previous qualification round.

lol, I loved it when I saw frustrated Korean kicking the ball on lying Chinese! Maximal Wild East Football, 10/10! Good thing that both of those teams are far from JNT in this cycle. And troublesome for Chinese as they will be now favorites for the res of qualifiers (at least in the public eye - they won against SK so why they can't win against any other team in the group?).

That was a pretty dirty/unnecessarily play (by Hwang Heechan, I think?)...really flat performance by SK, you'd have to think Stielike's days are numbered. China's players are limited but showed some good teamwork on the counter, I think they should keep Lippi around for a while.

I think it's safe to say that SK football is now in pretty deep crisis. Getting the to the WC isn't an easy feat considering all that happened there recently.

Lippi is really good, perhaps the JNT should have went for him when he left Guangzhou.

Uzbekistan  choking when the light is on them. Just like Thailand who are getting rolled over by everyone even though they're not that bad.

The match we played against Syria was in a marsh not a pitch. There are videos and photos available on the net. Search it to watch what was it like. Two days heavy raining made the pitch awful but AFC insisted to let the match be played. Right after the match AFC changed their opinion and said no more match in that stadium. Syrians were on the floor pretending to be injured half of the match and were super defensive. So I consider that match having same weight that Japan vs Singapore in Saitama had. Is Singapore an Asian heavy weight team now?

No. You did not say that for sure. IMO he should not have said the last sentence of his last comment and he should have wrote the rest of his comment in different way. For example, he should have mentioned that what Japan did against Syria in that day, no other Asian team could do it in that day. In that case, he also gave credit to what Japan did against Syria in last round. I personally give credit to Japan for what they did against Syria in last round. Anyway personally when I do not like a comment, I try my best to ignore it. This is my suggestion for others.

I totally agree with with you. Syria changed its coach after the end of last round (Second round). Hope you also agree that they are different team in this round. Overall Syria is a very good at the moment IMO.

No, but you were using Syria as some sort of measuring tool to justify Japan having a great run. Japan is a good team and there is no doubt about it, but the comparison was wrong. If Japan had played against them in Malaysia in that marshland called pitch, they had the same difficulty we had faced. There are too much talks that Group B is a lot tougher than Group A and if X or Y team were playing in Group A they would have kicked everyone around ...
