We drew Israel 1-1, and Belarus beat France, meaning we're both tied at 4 points on top of the group, but we have the edge via GD.

Kind of a bummer, we would've clinched qualification with a win, now it looks like the game vs Belarus will decide it all. Knowing how Bosnia does under pressure, I'm wishing Belarus luck at the tourny lol

Yup, you're right, also we wouldn't clinch the group if we beat Israel anyways, we'd actually be in the same position, needing a win or draw (assuming Israel doesn't beat France) to advance.

ps what happened to France? Don't they usually have great youth teams? Losing twice in a row to teams they really shouldn't be losing to.

u17s beat Czech Republic 2-1, currently sit on 4 points while the group leader England has 6 points. I think the seven highest ranked 2nd placed teams qualify.

So, once more after an early high of beating France 2:0 in the opening match, our youth squad cannot make use of that and loses the last game to Bulgaria 3:1 to lose out on EC qualification...

Bosnian choke job in full effect. First half stats were we had 10 chances and they had 3 chances and 3 goals... :ROFLMAO:... Would have been great for these kids to qualifiy, but they just weren't good enough to finish Isreal and then they blew it in the first half vs Bulgaria.

U-17's qualified today. and our u-21's won 6-0 vs Lichenstein granted it is only Lichenstien but under th last coach we would have lost that one as well. :D

The issue is, will the coach give a youngster first team experience. Besides Jesic, I don't remember many Sarajevo managers trying much to include players from the academy.

I wouldn't be surprised if at the first time Sadiku isn't called up, he jumps ship to Albania or Kosovo, happens all the time with us.

Which baffles me in all honestly. I'm not sure but I think I've seen them use Dušan Hodžić as a CB lately, which could have been used to give someone like Sadiku a chance instead. The only explanation I can come to think of is that FK Sarajevo just cares about the result and don't trust their youngsters to be able to help them much in that regard. A fine academy not being used more often. Sad.

It goes back to the top. The club culture is all about short-term solutions, with no long term plans or goals in mind. Like when they sign a 30 year old Brazilian from the Cambodian league instead of promoting a youngster. Just a very poorly run club.

Look at Zeljo for instance, they set a goal (rebuild a stand), determine how they will accomplish it (large marketing and publicity blitze, fan funded through season ticket sales). Meanwhile Sarajevo just talks about renovations while putting together no feasible plans together.

This. This is why someone like Hamza Ćataković left them and soon Nedim Hadžić will follow as well.

What makes it worse, is that Sarajevo is the most financially well off club in Bosnia due to investment from Vincent Tan, they are the only club without any debts. Yet, they fail to exploit this major advantage they have over every club.

I think Catakovic is on a load to Trencin. When he went there I kept tabs on that team to see if he would get any field time, sadly he has been starved of minutes. I don't think he has received any time. I had really high hopes for Samir Radovac but he has fell hard.

Well for him if a call-up to Australia comes up and he waits for us he has to be wondering if BiH will ever call him up, and if he rejects Australia would they ever call him back up again, tough decsions.
