A Facebook post this morning said that Peter Wilt represented the Torrent in Orlando this last week. how involved is Peter in the organization? Is he taking and active role or is he more of an advisor?
I didn't think he had any role. I was surprised to see that as well and thought andi was in Orlando representing the team. A recent article mentioned Andi was talking with a local investor(s). It's not too much of a stretch to think Peter is it. And if he is that'd be a big boost to the club.
With the release of the updated roster and the new conference alignment things are starting to come together for next season. The team is looking strong with a lot of returning players from last year. Weber and Rodriguez might be gone, but it looks like the additions are pretty solid. And I love that we'll be playing 14 regular season games! That, along with the increased competition, is going to make it a lot more exciting. It looks like there's still one more conference to be announced in the Midwest region and I'm curious to see which teams are included there. Any thoughts?
I heard they're calling it the North Conference. I'm sure the twin stars and LC Aris are a part of it. not sure who else is left unless teams are leaving the PLA.
I think fc Fargo folded and the TwinStars are out for this year, but I could be wrong. If they were I'd think they'd put the Torrent in that conference. I wonder if other teams from the pla want to move up?
They did. And some bright boy on Twitter concluded it was because they had no incentive to improve their team or organization, given they couldn't be promoted.
All too often people get hung up on the league the team is playing in, using that as an excuse not to support them. You want to play in a higher league? Come out and support the team you have and show investors it's a worthwhile investment. The only reason MLS is considering Cincinnati is because they are selling 8,000 season tickets. Same goes for Sacramento and a few other cities. Detroit is likely to get at least a USL team because of DCFC's following. We could have that here too. I picked up two season tickets and hope we can fill Hart Park and really support the Torrent. That's how we'll get a USL team.

i was attending the meetings as a guest speaker. Andi wasn't able to attend and asked me to serve as his proxy since i was going to be there. i really enjoyed the meetings. Well run and plenty of passionate and knowledgeable people running important soccer clubs throughout the country.
Any rumors of a new stadium being built? I know Vetter Denk is builing a small development in South Milwaukee near Moran's Pub, but are they planning a larger development with a possible stadium closer to downtown?
I saw the post from Andi and am anxiously waiting for further news! It is exciting to speculate but I'd think Hart Park would fit the bill for a while. Maybe there'll be some improvements to the stadium? I hope he doesn't keep us in suspense too long!

I'm sure most the Michigan fans travel well. But does anyone have any speculation on if they'll travel across the lake?

I'm not sure what that's about, but he did post a couple of teasers in the spring about meeting with an architect. Maybe the two are related. I hope we'll find out with the announcement on 10/1!
