Got this from Football Italia. Maybe it missed a few players or something. Usually accurate, but makes mistakes from time to time.
Gabbiadini has a slight injury and pulled out. Bernardeschi might pull out as well, but nothing is confirmed yet. Oh boy I hope Berny plays. This is the time to prove himself with the Azzurri, especially with Bonaventura injured. I hope he is ok.
According to football italia Italy (probable): Buffon; Zappacosta, Barzagli, Bonucci (Romagnoli), De Sciglio; Verratti, De Rossi (Gagliardini); Candreva, Immobile, Belotti, Insigne Can't complain about that.
What a lethal attack that could be!!! Are they playing the 4-2-4 because Albania isn't much of a threat?
I actually think Albania is a fairly decent side. They proved it in the Euro's. Ventura has tried it out in training dating all the way back to the summer, and I believe he tried it in a game but I could be wrong.
Pardon my ignorance. But who the fvck else uses a 4-2-4 and actually wins with it? Wiki says the Brazilians used it in the 1970 World Cup. That's not making me fell much better. lol.
We'll have Verratti and De Rossi to supply. They can play defensive if need be both of them and they both can pass really well. No need to cram it with a box to box Parolo. The fact that Candreva and Insigne might start is Ventura is looking for width. Plus Belotti or even Immobile can drop back and play farther from goal of need be. The midfield looks to be solid buddy
De Rossi is on the wrong side of 30 and if you think mentioning Verratti is going to give me confidence you haven't been paying attention. Candreva and Insigne will likely drop back to help build attacks but defense isn't a strong point for either of them. Trolls take note I'm going on record to say I think this formation will struggle with possession certainly but perhaps even to build attacks.
Buddy Verratti can easily out pass who ever Albania put out and keep possession from them. With a technical players like Insigne and Candreva attacks will form. Even De Rossi is good at holding the ball. Romagnoli and Bonucci are good ball playing CBs. I guarantee you we get 55 possession or higher
Uh huh. Their coach for the last 5 years is an Italian Gianni De Blasi and he was knighted for services to Albanian football. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing for us.
