What I've heard from a fan of the belgian league is that he was one of the revelations of the first half of the season. He's been upset that he wasn't sold over the winter break and so his form has dipped a little; but in general he's got very quick feet, a nose for goal, and great pace. He needs to get stronger and continue to improve his consistency; as he still has matches where he seems to be fighting the ball; but for a 19yo he looks like a very exciting attacker who could replicate Traore's impact off the wing or possibly even develop into a more central forward who could partner Hazard & Villalba/Simakala/Avdijaj/Hagi/etc.

Let's see if we can get home advantage once for the draw of the semifinals. I don't mind much which team we get but I finally wanna see the team play a cup match at home..

I still see him as Xhaka's successor as a deep lying playmaker/playmaking 6...granted I thought Arrango should've been used in a deeper midfield role where he could've used that golden left foot to greater effect, so this could easily just be my bias towards having players with such passing ability in that role. Which is part of why I have no clue where he'll actually end up at this point; but the things he can do with that left foot, his unspectacular pace, and more robust frame; all make me see a deeper midfielder who sits behind the likes of Kramer / Dahoud / Sow / Ndenge / etc. and sprays the ball all over the pitch...once he's done developing. Very similar to a different belgian starlet you were once linked with, Youri Tielemans.

But maybe I under rate Benes' mobility, and he can be equally influential in a more advanced midfield role like his countrymen Marek Hamsik or Dahoud.

@lucky: That super villain / Bond look of Hecking must be whats carrying us ( which btw as usual you were reading my mind about his looks...i just couldnt put it to words not to mention his facial expression next to the pitch)..as i was saying it must the super villian look or the gods are just giving us a break....Hamburg was all over us and if they didnt wanna over impress their fans and had a more leveled head they should have scored a couple tonight.
We couldnt get any passing combinations going. Our passing accuracy was terrible and the one on ones where poor as hell.Only thing that shined tonight was our D and the 2 danes winning pretty much all aerial battles and toni showing some solid defensive old school work...and of course Sommer saved our behind's a few times....not complaining about the win but besides Dahoud winning most his battles and scrapings in midfield and excellent ball distribution ....our midfield wasent doing much either tonight ( guess Dahoud is also very excited about his move to BVB this summer to and its showing in his game as well) i dunno maybe u guys saw something tonight which i couldnt ????? Also Raffael scared me again with his PK.....for a Brazilian he should do a much better job placing the ball easily in the opposite side of the keeper...he always keeps it close to the keeper and tries to drill it in...only person that could deliver that type of PK flawlessly was Lothar:cautious::ninja::ninja::ninja::unsure:
Anyways happy with the result but again am not sure how we got away with it.I think HSV's crashing to pieces against Hollywood combined by their nervousness to make a quick come back from such a defeat in the Buli helped us a lot tonight.:alien:o_O:devilish::thumbsdown::ninja::whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:

He has great quality and physical power question is how much Hecking and his endless experience can provide the tools for him to florish in the club and turn into the type of player he is genetically coded for??

    yes, how?
not shining at all but still winning the games
is it cleverness? matureness? or just the stability Hecking brought back?
I mean if we win this kind of matches what's gonna happen if Hecking starts the fine-tuning-mode? is he able to do this at all? maybe from then on it's getting overcomplicated like under his predecessor and we start losing again ;-)

and how exactly did he put an end to Schubert's (and the team's) horrible, everlasting and 'never-ending' away-misery?
when asked the day he took over Hecking said: I don't have an away-weakness and I never lost on the road with Borussia... and weeks later his record is: 5 wins and one draw out of 6 ... scary! maybe he finally figured out how to hypnotize the players' self-trust with his eyebrows...

not sure if he would pass Eberl's infamous character-test: he forced a move and didn't show up for a week or so at Eupen (20.000 pop, 8xxx stadium which is ony my [not very impressive] groundhopper-list, the club is used by Qatari money to 'park' mainly African talents) ... finally the club granted his wish for the end of the season ... West Ham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Celtic, Dortmund... and us... that's a lot of options (at least according to the usual, reckless sources)
he is on the "10 biggest surpizes"-list (december) of Belgian Soccer of VoetbalPrimeur... according to them he is one of the players who draw people to the stadium, he is a "nightmare for every rightback" and "every top-club wants to have him", seems to have something like a "technical ingenuity" (sounds good!), too
    so, I wouldn't sign him! ;-)
my total-outsider-guess: it's not gonna happen ... but if it happens and he is really that good he's gonna stay for one season only I suspect ;-) maybe Borussia is aiming for a mega-resale-deal... but why?... we're already stuffed with money ;-)

Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Lars Stindl donates shirt to overlooked ball boy

    http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/B...o-ball-boy-dfb-cup-hamburg-twitter-435246.jsp

Props to our Captain. These are the moments that make a difference...and make u a better man and define you later along the path. The look on the boys face...too bad they had to leave the stadium fast would have been epic if he handed the jersey over to him personally....but still what he did is ALL-CLASS :)
Stindl has matured personally and elevated his game so much on & off the field ...in so many levels/ways that lets say what he has done & accomplished in the past few weeks / games ..most need years / several seasons to get tho this pointo_Otruly hope we do all we can to keep him at Gladbach;):eek::D
I hope all this attention does not bring in the human vultures from other clubs ...in order to convince him to leave. He can be instrumental for us and the building process and the kind of leadership we never regained once Effe left Bokelberg:thumbsup::D:D:thumbsup:

We both have seen and had our fair share of those ( sadly)...and know all too well about it.I just hate i had to use an animal in that comparison but u get my point and thats all that matters...but key component was the human part...even vultures have more grace and code of ethics compared to most humans nowadays:speechless:

If those two are actually replaced, then the club wouldn't need much more than to upgrade on Drmic/Hahn as depth up front...which could be achieved by giving Donis Avdijaj a fresh start...and for your young midfielders to start taking the next step.

So many they count on are so constantly unavailable I look on Eberl's statement as an utter joke.
Maybe Raffael will play forever-who knows? Kramer/Strobl aren't the answers, and you yourself have already touched on the lack of a true forward Rosebud. Even what you suggest is 2 things more than "nothing"............

We all saw how we replaced Xhaka,Nordeveit...kruse etc etc
Ya right.Dahoud is the only person that has answers in our midfield and is creative with the ball with both defensive and offensive skills...and then Christensen, just when he is turning into a true sweeper and helping with midfield and in attack....Eberl must be smoking some primo BC bud!

Have we all forgot this is Gladbach??? We are the masters of running the best defective / vicious circle in the history of football.Building players and turning them into world class talent and perfectly wrapping them up and shipping them to different destinations across Europe. From a fan's perspective it sucks and inflicts massive pain...from a football business sense/standpoint and cashing in on players that have been bought for peanuts and sold for millions of euros it must be like heaven for likes of Eberl and the rest of the organization!
Who cares about the fans?? And whether or not we would ever win a title?? As long as the gravy train of money is flowing into the club...its all sunshine and butterflies :(:speechless::confused::mad::whistling:

Christensen was a 2 year loan. That means he was given to be developed and returned. Player has less leverage on loan than with a club. Max kept begging to keep a guy he couldn't keep from the beginning! He's Chelsea's.........not a damn thing anybody's gonna do about it except make sure he's not pulled early (and they wanted to)-and Gladbach got the duration. Time's about up, plans to replace him should've begun a long time ago.

Having such a puny release clause for a talented traitor like Mo does take a special amount of incompetence though, have to salute that.

Why BMG isn't willing to work with Chelsea to bring in a new batch of loanees is the biggest mystery. They have talents rotting in their system who couldn't get a sniff right now who'd be a massive upgrade from Gladbach's wares-even if only for a couple of years.

EPIC my friend---->>>> "for a talented traitor like Mo" it could have not been described better!!!
and of course---->>>>> " Special amount of incompetence" am laughing which is not good...cause this kind of laugh is more like tears...and how is Gladbach nation and its loyal fans respond to this?? And the mastermind behind it??? If we can see and identify how bad of a contract it was..then those that are much closer to the club ( being a fan or in the club and organization) must be wanting to throw up in disgust.....no?????

And since the deal was in the works and getting confirmed and finalized to move to BVB his game has elevated by 3 folds...almost like his showcasing everything he has in his arsenal which he will be taking over to BVB with him...and rubbing it on our face!
