For the sake of all those who don't care about the BSG's formal approval process for chants, let's keep this thread limited to ideas and feedback on specific chants. Start a new thread if you need to have that discussion.

Back to chants - The goals chant is interesting. Could be tough to pull off but I applaud the originality. We need more of that. I like the back and forth call and response with the Capo. That could work well.

We don't have a formal approval process - unless you believe 'getting everyone to sing' is!

I really dislike “you’re going home in a Denver ambulance.” It’s stupid on so many levels.

    A) You are chanting a player’s potential injury.
    B) Ambulances will take you to a hospital not home.
    C) The opposing player likely lives in a suburb of the opposing player’s city. Such as Kent WA, or Bridgdeview IL
    D) The ambulance will likely go to a Commerce City or Health One area hospital.

So the chant should be more like “An ambulance will take you to a local area hospital.” Not as catchy but not as stupid either.

Now that I offered that unsolicited opinion I’ll offer up some creativeness. I understand a few issues. Simpler is better. And that it will likely only exist to the dozen people that will read it on this board, but I think it’s funny so here it goes.

I would like to hear a chat made from Blur’s Park Life with the lyrics changed to Rapids related topics and the chorus changed to Thug Life.

    Example
We win ALL the games at Dick’s except for when we get rudely red carded by the yellow team…
    THUG LIFE!
We put our boots on remember the MLS cup and defend our house.
    THUG LIFE!
We beat the Sounders we beat the Timbers too it give us a sense of enormous well being.
    THUG LIFE!
Then we’re happy for the rest of the week safe in the knowledge that there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.
    THUG LIFE!
    ALL THE LEAGUE
    SO MANY TEAMS
THEY ALL FALL HAND IN HAND
    HAND IN HAND THROUGH OUR
    - THUG LIFE!

    RBNY Supporter in peace:

Was watching the highlights from this past weekends matches, and thought I heard this: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIQ-PDqnW00"]‪Stevenage terrace chant‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

First of all, one of my favorites, been trying to incorporate this into RBNY, with no luck... (twats), nice job!

Secondly, how new is this to the group?

Pretty new for this year, I think it started a couple games into the season. Still working on growing it, but it sure makes for great line hopping opportunities. :D

It really is perfect for American Soccer. It's easy enough for casual fans to join into, and creates a great atmosphere.

Tried it a few games last year, didn't catch at all. People slowly caught on over the first couple games this season and now it's done all the time. Fun one for sure.

Since this place is dead as heck, I'm just gonna post stuff.

Any place for this? I think it could be interesting to chant < Opposing Team>....Come out to play - as they are coming down to the field, or right before they come out (as to not distract from us showering our Rapids with love as they walk by us).

And we can just stand there and clap as well in place of the bottles. :D

"Pass to Gashi on the left hand side. Pass to Gashi on the left hand side"

Sung to the tune of Pass the Dutchie

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pass_the_Dutchie

Of course, it should only be sung when Gashi is playing on the left-hand-side.
