True but I don't remember him being particularly awful. Maybe I was just blinded by how terrible inspiRAYtion was
It is sad that the MLS experiment of using salary cap rules to enforce competitiveness has finally collapsed this year. Just like every other league, the richest teams will win. When it was only the Galaxy doing it, there was a good chance they would lose in the playoffs. Now about 1/3 the league is outspending all the rest. I know Earnie has a moneyball reputation, but can't see that panning out in the MLS of the future.
......FC Dallas is leading the league...............they spend less then Philly........... SKC doesn't spend a lot either. RBNY is currently not spending big. DCU is more budget minded then the Union.
That's why you spend DP at attacking positions. So much class up front. To the morons chanting overrated at Bradley, I hope Pep Boys fires you this week.
Funny thing is that Colorado has the highest PPG in the league and their big money player is Tim Howard. Yes they spent DP money on Kevin Doyle (who I doubt most people would think is anywhere near the best striker in the league) and Gashi (who was good in the Swiss league). Smart acquisitions and good salary cap management can still get you far in this league. Hell, RSL is still 6th in PPG and people are thinking this is a down year for them.
