BTW, former WWE announcer Jim Ross (a.k.a. "Good Old J.R.") along with Jerry "The King" Lawler will be at The Emirates this Sunday, calling all the action, and you should be hearing him make calls like this!!!: http://www.joe.ie/sport/video-arsenal-v-liverpool-gets-the-jim-ross-wwe-commentary-treatment/490962
This is the glamour tie of the first round, I assume we get Arlo White and Lee Dixon. Are they in Brazil?
My 3 players' replica kits came in this morning from Soccer.com, and they are worth it, say what you will about that landing strip on the home strips but it doesn't bother me a bit, the away kits are the same colors as earlier depicted (Lakers gold and dark gray), the very same color scheme we wore in 2005-06 when we made it to our only UCL Final (in Paris vs. Barcelona) and the third kits, almost look like the neon/fluorescent yellow will glow in the dark, while the goalkeeper jerseys are for the first time ever being offered in a short-sleeved form by Arsenal Direct (that's where I got that one). My verdict, the quality and work are much better than the past 2 years considering they're not being made in China or Vietnam, and take note, the Arsenal patches are woven, not that cheap plastic-satin crap like we saw the past 2 runs, so I can proudly wear them this season. The players' kits are made in the former Soviet Republic Of Georgia, while the GK strips come from Turkey, and all 4 are very well done. I'll be posting up pics of myself in them for everyone to download me in and they should be up by Saturday night (I have to take care of FOUR dogs this weekend at my work Oak Bay Animal Hospital in Port Hadlock), so look for them............ and, oh yeah, before I forget........... COYF'n'G!!!
After all this transfer non sense this summer... You're going to make us wait TWO AND A HALF DAYS for those pictures? Dude......
I said I was gonna have the pics of myself in them tomorrow, not over the weekend, that would be half-assing it, in whoch I don't do, but yes the pics will be up tomorrow. As for the pics of the shirts themselves, go to the kit thread, pics of the strips themselves are already up there at http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/a-dassler-by-any-other-name-kit-thread-mark-xv.1998763/page-42
My thoughts on who Wenger is likely to deploy: -------------------------Cech----------------------- Bellerin-----Chambers-----Kos------------Monreal -----------------El Neny----Xhaka---------------- Ox-------------------Ramsey-------------------Iwobi -----------------------Sanchez-----------------------
what i think will happen: -------------------------cech----------------------- bellerin-----debuchy-----chambers--------monreal -----------------ramsey-------xhaka------------------ oxlade-chamberlain---cazorla--------------sanchez -----------------------walcott--------------------------- what i would like to happen: -------------------------cech----------------------- bellerin-----coquelin-----chambers--------monreal -------------------ramsey-------xhaka---------------- walcott--------------cazorla------------------sanchez ------------------------iwobi--------------------------- coquelin back there is a huge gamble but, y'know, might as well roll that dice.
i know they are inexperienced, but I think their passing ability will be key against that gegenpress. Chambers and Holding can pass between the lines and are comfortable on the ball
