Kimmich has not been great at all this tournament against decent competition.

Tell that to my neighbor who almost jumped off his balcony. You think somebody would do it because of a draw? ;)

If Germany Had Reached Finals, Portugal Would Have Broken The Curse. Wish Schweinsteiger Had Remained Injured

Usually Boateng would have been there to make up for that mistake by Kimmich, instead Mustafi was made to look like an amature by Pogba, then Neuer flapped at the cross and was probably fouled by Giroud.

Overall, the penalty and the Boateng injury were the nails in the coffin.

For the second goal, I blame the one who passed to Kimmich when two opponents were close to him more than Kimmich who had to receive the ball knowing he'd probably have a french running at him.
Kimmich had a good tourney but must work on his passes into the box. Müller and Götze were the major disappointments of this Euro for Germany for me.

I can't even explain how disappointed i am. It's basically Bayern vs Atletico all over again. I honestly think we played very well, just we do not have a striker. Instead we have Burger King and Müller, who has been so fking bad this tournament.
Kimmich is excused, it's not his natural position and he is 21yo, shit happens.
We did not have any luck either.
Not that im complaining about that penalty, but well done at appointing Italian referee for this game.
So proud of this team, had problems everywhere, lost players to injuries and STILL played really great.
I am feeling really sad right now, but i ********ing love this team.

Unlucky feel like Germany did not push France wide enough

Sane should of started imho to get players wide and stretch that French backline which is vulnerable to lapses in concentration

Overall the German players looked very tired but fought nonetheless

I personally don't rate Julian Draxler at all and I'm not in depth with the bundesliga to know if Germany have other wide players

Bellarabi would of been a good injection of pace kind of like an old school Odonkor

2:0 was pretty meaningless overall, the offense was toothless mostly but also handicapped by the defensive focus again

Kahn says 2nd goal is Neuer's fault cause he did not use the right technique to catch the ball

I hate these bandwagon Canadian sport casters/analyst..now they are saying Griezman entirely beat Germany..and the team was built around him..his not half a Kross or Ozil or the rest of german team...they are also defending the decision of the referee...which imo is BS...that was no PK...10 different referees in similar situation would probably 8 out of 10 not call it a PK...oh well too late..we should have crushed them..Jogi should have went in with a super offensive line-up and hard nose play..taking it to them..not this cheesy possession game with a conservative line

If they're crazy, then yes because despite a draw, you knocked us out.

Hard luck here in this game, but so strange that it was reckless arms that did you in today, and very close last game. Very uncharacteristic.

Löw expected a midfield battle in the center hence why he went for Can - Schweinsteiger and that does not emphasize using width. France obviously had other plans and whiffed Germanys lineup. well played Deschamps. But probably not a huge feat anyway since Löw is notoriously bad at these outsmarting attempts

In the first half, they pushed France wide all the time.
But good luck for the final. I heard the ref will be from France.

Lion's share of the blame goes to Neuer. He should have stayed put. He ran forward and didn't punch it away either. There were defenders around to clear the ball.

    Quick thoughts on the match:
    - Germany need a back-up striker.
    - Schweinsteiger and Podolski should do the sensible thing and retire. Hopefully this was Schweinsteiger's last match in a Germany shirt.

Certainly not posts praising his play this tournament.
I can respect him not playing well because of the position and age and I'm not saying he won't develop into a decent player but be honest and acknowledge that he didn't do well this tournament.

    Lol well played Deschamps?

    Riiiight.

Deschamps totally planned on getting that penalty and Boateng getting injured. All part of his master plan!

French were totally suffocated and Deschamps out coached until the penalty call. And ask anybody, I'm not a fan of Löw.
