YMMV -- my wife gets up early, so an 8:00 PM start gets her home too late. My son is taking night classes, he has tonight off, but he's working full time and his Thursday class goes until 10:00 PM, so he's taken a pass because of short rest and my daughter's non-profit is overrun with student volunteers for the next two weeks, so she can't make it. 8:00 PM on a weeknight is a pain in the ass -- except for FB, who gets to tailgate for 4-5 hours:)

It's possibly working out for me. I was supposed to take my wife to the airport but since I'll be getting home so late she said she would try Uber. :)

Yea I think I am in the minority here. I work roughly 930-630 so the 8:00 start gives me time to go home first, change, etc. and get on the train as opposed to running from work to the metro. Of course I'm also going to leave early so I have time for a few beers, but this way I have to leave one hour less early :).

Yeah, an 8pm start tonight gives me an hour to tailgate. For the Jersey match, I walked in 5 minutes after kickoff.

Same here. Took me 3 hours door to gate. 8pm is much more palatable for me just to miss a lot of the usual traffic. The flip side is a very late night. Friday 8pm would be better than Wed.

Can't win them all. If I'm going to fight all that on a weeknight it will prob be for the USOC game.

I'm a big fan of the 8pm start. More time to get to the stadium, more time for the summer sun to go down, more likely the knee high Star Wars crowd will be in bed.

Complete garbage - Espindola with two missed sitters. No defensive organization no nothing. One Acosta parlor trick.

    Total suck out there.

Boosher gets the first piece of blame on that goal because of a terrible passing decision that turned the ball over.

No losses are "good," but this one's particularly bad. Toothless all game, careless in the midfield, etc., etc.

Espindola: How many good games have we gotten from him thus far in 2016?

This was the Jeffery I feared we still had. And Marcelo had a pretty mediocre outing as well.

    Just ... ugh.

Got lucky to not end 0-0 against a really bad Sporting Wiz and now a loss at home to horrible Seattle. Not good :/

I knew this would be bad when that "boy band" singer did the national anthem.

That was the worst game I've seen in person since 2013. Looked like Olsen found 11 guys in the parking lot and said "hey guys want to play tonight?" Seattle's scrubs are better than our regulars and better coached too.

As much stick as Saborio gets, would he have missed two sitters and a semi-breakaway? I don't think so. I would just put Espindola in Halsti's suitcase and let him go -- he is beyond useless.

I'm really torn on Acosta as well. I'm not sure if he is a soccer player or a bag of tricks. That breakaway when it was still 0-0 put him at the top of the box and you could tell he didn't want to shoot, he made no movement whatsoever and stood there waiting to be dispossessed.

What this team lacks is a leader. DeRo was one in 2011, maybe Boswell in 2014. There is no one now who wants to take the game by the balls and push his team forward.

If any player gets a rating above "3", the reviewer is smoking crack.

Finally, I never, never leave early, but tonight I was gone in the 83rd minute -- I just couldn't take anymore.

I really don't understand this team.

We need a new coach pretty desperately. And a few new players.

Espindola was beyond awful. I don't understand why all of his suckitude and wandering around the field got him 90 minutes. It's like we were basically playing with 10 the whole game. After he missed those great chances the team stopped passing to him. The only time he got near the ball was all of those stupid long balls.

    Just terrible.

It would have been great had Neagle had a good game against his old team but he was mediocre at best. BTW, Goff has had Rob Vincent in his starting eleven for the last two matches. Maybe it's time for Benny to try him out. And let's hope Kamara rounds into shape fast (along with Rolfe and Nyarko getting over their concussions). He pressed high, which you just don't get with Espindola and Acosta as your forwards.

I'm not as down on the team performance as I am on Ben. It was a typical mid-season match between two semi-decent teams, with three points to be had for whichever could finish a play. But Ben blinked. He took out Acosta, our most creative player, and at that point our offense, which had been generating some decent chances and holding the ball some, just died. Acosta is 22 years old - if he can't play 90 with an almost 2 week break to follow he shouldn't be playing pro soccer. This game was a chess match between the coaches and Ben blundered in removing Acosta before Sigi made even a single sub. I'm not saying that we we would have scored if Acosta had stayed in, but our chances of scoring decreased when he left, and that's a dumb coaching decision, especially playing at home.

He also waited too long to get Kamara in. He should have given Acosta and Kamara the chance to play together at least 8-10 minutes, to start building some chemistry. Instead they didn't play together at all.

I got the feeling that Ben's subs were penciled in pror to game time, and he then followed the plan without regard to the actual game in front of him.

Neagle's weakness is revealing iteself. He's a finesse player who won't stick his nose into hard tackles. At least 3 times he lost the ball in the right corner so easily that Seattle was actually able to start counter-attacks from that area. When you possess the ball down in the corner the worst case scenario should be that the defense earns a goal kick. They should never be able to pick your pocket and go on the attack.

Acosta has raw talent but he needs coaching. You can tell the kid is confused why his team mates aren't doing the same things he's probably used to in Argentina. He needs to understand that here in DC his team mates are just not that good. He needs to play down to their level and keep things a little simpler. And stop trying to beat Alonso 1v1 ... that's a low percentage play every time.

Espy is done. I appreciated some of his defensive hustle, but he's channeling Pajoy right now ...

I honestly forgot NDL even played in this game. Did he get any positive touches?

Yet another performance completely devoid of emotion. It all starts at the top with Olsen who just doesn't exhibit any confidence with his body language. He has two expressions ... frustrated or dejected. Our team looks like the morning shift at the post office ... just going through the motions counting the minutes until lunch break.
