And the Higuain goal that broke Nordahl's record was just sublime. Higuain has been so good all season.
Also, one very significant fact: in Italy, after that Nordhal record 66 years ago and before Hihuain's new one, only one player was able to score more than 30 goals in a season, Luca Toni with 31 goals, 10 years ago. Meaning that Higuain's one is really an incredible achievement, even if in other leagues some players have scored more goals than that.
Absolutely. Higuain has been remarkable this season. He's had a fine supporting cast in Insigne, Hamsik, Callejon, and Mertens, but he's scored all kinds of goals, from goal poacher tap ins, to marvelous ones. It has been really fun watching Napoli this season. A little disappointed that they couldn't hold off Juve for the Scudetto, but considering Juve lost once since October that was going to be tough to do.
Yeah, Juve started really bad than they had that streak of 27 games (26 wins and one tie) and at the end of it there was no more pasta left for anybody... Not very fun...
I had hope up until the moment that Zaza scored at the end of the Juve-Napoli game. At that point, I knew Napoli were going to have to settle for second.
where a $500k investment now gets you a green card...ugh: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/17/s...cer-stadium-foreign-investors-visas.html?_r=0
Orlando does not appear to be afraid to walk on the shady side of life (or at least rules & laws), that's for sure.
so...can't they at least award these green cards on a case by case basis based on the merits of the project??? sigh...
From the ticker tape of my skull; Jozy Altidore's hamstrings are to Jozy Altidore as Frank Lampard is to NYCFC.
Some podcast recently was arguing that Lampard might be the single worst signing in the history of the league. Worse than Mattheus, worse than Denilson, worse even than Rafa Marquez. I think they're right. He has barely played at all, has been invisible (or worse) when he did play, and he torpedoed the team before he ever arrived with the Manchester City bullcrap.
Yeah, I now want them to do really, really poorly for reasons that have nothing to do with anything at all they've ever done on the pitch.
In case he deletes it, here is a reminder of who Ted Leonsis is. Oh my.... pic.twitter.com/Tx06zMN9MQ— Strictly 4 My X’ers (@Lizzs_Lockeroom) May 19, 2016 He can be as bad as Merritt Paulson, but with nowhere near the desire to win.
The Chicago Fire is just terrible. I'd be amazed if they lose the Spoon this year. Their offense is DC 2013 bad.
Explain please. Surely you don't mean Branko Boscovic, the best player DCU has had in years and the object of Ben Olsen's most grievous managerial failure?
