Not really ... Finally Chelsea appears to be a team that wants to play soccer instead of being a bunch of thugs on their under-sized field ... Tottenham had their chances today, and during the season ... Good for Leicester

I'm not going to jump on the Leicester bandwagon and say that Leicester has always been my favorite team in England or that they will (like many people did with Chelsea for example). But I am certainly not indifferent, because this team has made an incredible achievement, with a bunch of underdogs or reject players, and a coach who was probably coming from his biggest failure in carreer (Greece NT). They have really brought a breath of fresh air in the monotony of English and generally speaking European football. They have given a mid size unpretentious town its moment of glory that will be eternally remembered. The biggest joy ever to faithful supporters who never asked more than dignity on the field. I don't know much about Leicester players, but I do know a lot about Ranieri; he has coached some big clubs, Juve, Roma, Inter, Chelsea, Valencia just to name a few, and although the results have been decent to good, he never won a title and ended up being labeled as "eternal second" and "loser". But he never lost his politeness nor his optimism, and this win is especially his win. So, thank you Claudio and thank you Leicester for having given all of us some wonderful emotions even if we support other teams.
First, Richard III's discovery and reinterment, now the Premier League title. Leicester is riding the wave. Who thought that the spirit of Shakespeare's villain would infuse what had been a second-rate team? "A corpse! A corpse! A Premier League title for a corpse!" Or something like that....
Fair points - I should say from a selfish point of view I wanted to personally watch Leicester win and celebrate on the field. At least they finished it early enough though to have the trophy presentation at home still.
After their draw against Man U on Sunday, numerous Leicester players were asked in interviews about whether they'd rather have Tottenham win so that they could win the title at home, and to a man every one of them said 'no, I'd prefer to just win it, whichever way gets it done the fastest.' Instead of celebrating on the pitch in front of everyone, they celebrated as a unit at Jamie Vardy's house. The more I think about it, the more fitting that seems.
Yea I don't doubt at all the players wanted to just win, just meant more-so from a fan perspective. I did like the video from Fuchs though, looked like a blast.
Well, I loved seeing it. The only concern I have is that it is likely to further entrench management into thinking "just look what can be done with almost no investment". Its pretty clear that it helps to have either an experienced coach OR a solid squad. With neither (our current plan, and no, learning on the job in MLS does not make Ben somehow an experienced coach), not sure how are going to make anything more than the first round of the playoffs... if that.
Leicester's annual payroll is more than DCU spends in a decade. There is simply no comparison worth making here.

Far be it from me to ever say anything nice about the Dallas Burn, but seriously good on them if they pull this off. All that stuff is just rotting in some un-named storage unit since the old Hall folded.
The R** B***s are starting both Ronald Zubar and Aurellien Collen in central defense. I take it Iron Sheikh wasn't available.
And it seems they must have run out off homegrowns to cut/waive... http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...ls-loan-ouimette-renish-nyrb-ii-waive-carroll
Seems like that move didn't work out. Here's the assault by Romeo Parkes of @PghRiverhounds. Spikes to the back. Sickening. Suspend him. Cut him. Ban him. https://t.co/1rc7QqvgIX— Dejan Kovacevic (@Dejan_Kovacevic) May 8, 2016 Thx, Jay!
Today I went with a friend to Harrisburg, we watched Harrisburg City Islanders - Cincinnati FC (1-1). They played at FNB Field, small minor league baseball stadium on City Island, a small island in the middle of the Susquehanna river. 2,300 crowd, most families, some ~30 fans from Cincinnati, colorful and loud. Decent game (quality), fun evening, experience to repeat. When NPSL starts I want to go see a game or two of Frederick FC, a new team. I really needed some minor league soccer.
http://www.gazzetta.it/Foto-Gallery...016/olimpico-omaggia-totti-150538678757.shtml Official game number 600 for Francesco Totti, all with the same shirt, A.S. Roma. Before him - in Italy - only Paolo Maldini (Milan, 647 games) and Javier Zanetti (Inter, 615 games). Rumors say a 1 year contract extension is imminent, but we'll see, the sure thing is that at 39 Totti is still a real player, with the number of assists and goals scored scored playing 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there in these last 7~8 games
None of you will know this player, but Gianpaolo Bellini will retire after next week after 18 consecutive seasons with Atalanta. Today he payed his last home game (scored on penalty too)
