Haha, you're pissed off now! Well, Ecuador is on top...don't disrespect them, and I'm thinking at the very least they'll beat Peru, Venezuela, Paraguay and Colombia at home, draw Brazil and Argentina at home and Bolivia away and that should be enough. While Chile had a forgettable outing this month, I'm not sure the wheels are coming off. It may just be a bad patch, we'll see early next year how they bounce back. Too bad about Peru, if they get three or less points in the next round it's virtually over. Brazil is building an interesting offense with Neymar and Coutinho up front with Douglas Costa and Willian in midfield, plus Oscar, Firmino and Renato as subs.
Im not pissed of, for me isnt diificult to recognize a result. you wont find from me a comment saying that colombia was going to defeat aregtnina, or james will score goals. You are wrong, im just colombian. Not a fan without brain. grow up look your answer.. are you a child?? Is logic man, you cant say IM WINNER OR IM LOSSER about my thoughs, After a match. Have you learned once to build up an argument??? if you are correct or wrong because a match, isnt a conculsion. Man im a usuall poster here, and never pissed off because results . Argetntina deserved to won, james played terrible (after two months without playing) You are being a little child. @RiverGaucho @locoxriver know me better and im not an AGRANDADO HOOLLIGAN . I talked here about football , so stop trolling and saying that im wrong about a player because a player because a match is just stupid, isnt because im colombian.
I wouldn't buy any stock in Brazil just yet. We won mainly because Peru was below par last night rather than us playing well. We played "average" for what we have shown under Dunga thus far. The defense made a few mistakes that could have been costly, had Peru been more decisive in front of goal. We still lack any team play and that becomes evident in the midfield and especially the final third. Last night, we sprayed balls out wide to Willian and Douglas Costa and they had to beat their man to try to create anything. On the first goal, Willian took on his man on the right, won, whipped a cross that bounced off Douglas Costa and into the net. On the second goal, Douglas Costa dribbled through several defenders before sticking a pass out to Renato Augusto. The only good sign was that we were able to win without a good performance from Neymar, but like I said, Peru was below average and it was self-inflicted. If Dunga remains the coach for the next few rounds of the WCQ, the team has to show improvement over what we've seen so far if we want to qualify within the top 4.
Opino igual.
That’s because there's a lot of truth in that. I can’t comment on Colombia, but I can say that the Centenario is like kryptonite for Chile – a team that, quite simply, gets dismembered there. And, I think that a large part of that is psychological. Opposition teams and players tend to lose their marbles there; they get heavy legs, they run slower, they make uncommon errors, etc. Chile played horribly there last round; nothing new. Debates and conversations tend to get polarised, though, beyond these encounters. I’d say that Uruguay, Colombia and Chile are pretty evenly balanced, since 2010, regardless of ‘bragging rights’, as these are the three teams from the region to really improve considerably in the last 10 years. Taking into account men’s’ official ‘A’ matches across all venues, Chile and Uruguay are about even in the head-to-head since 2010: 3 wins each, 3 losses each, and 1 draw. Since 2005: 3 wins each, 3 losses each, and 4 draws. That’s recent history which, for me, is what’s relevant. Colombia versus Uruguay (same statistics since 2010): 2 wins each, 2 losses each, and 0 draws. Colombia versus Chile (same statistics since 2010): 1 win each, 1 loss each, and 2 draws. If I’m not mistaken – and I’m not sure if this statistic is true – Brazil, before June 6, 2009, had not won an official game in Montevideo in 33 years. That tells us how much of a fortress that stadium can be.
I'd say so, in fact, any points taken 'away' from home between these teams will be crucial. Chile has started on the wrong foot by losing 2 points to Colombia with that draw in Santiago and not getting anything in Montevideo. Colombia did fairly well, getting a point in Santiago but losing to Uruguay in Montevideo. Uruguay did their job and won both their home matches, so they are favourites at the moment, but on the return leg they have to visit both Colombia and Chile (Last qualifiers Uruguay lost 4-0 to Colombia in Barranquilla and 2-0 to Chile in Santiago).
I just thought of this. We have 6 teams within the top 13. One or two of these won't go to the world cup. Instead, some b or c rated teams which can't play nearly as well will take our place, and thus decrease the quality of the spectacle.
It's called the World Cup for a reason, some quality will be lost in the process. I like it as it is, but there are rumours they might expand it even further which will dilute the quality much more...
Peru take on Venezuela next, and let me just say if we can't win this, we deserve to finish bottom, never mind qualify for the World Cup. Venezuela are at the worst they've been since the 90's.
That's the least of our problems, as playing against Argentina, even with all our starters, there was no guarantee that we would get a good result (on paper, they are a lots more stronger team than ours, but to our favour, we are playing at home). The problem will be against Venezuela aferwards, against whom we must win all 3 of the points in dispute, but given to our lack of key players, it might also end helping them at their home, to win them against us instead. This double match date doesn't look any good, to our pretentions (fortunately the next match dates, will be in September so there is a long time to recover our team, till then)
Even with so many players missing we should still beat Venezuela that are divided and in a bit of a civil war. Argentina is a different matter...
Hi friends, how are you guys doing? I can't believe we now have a tv channel that broadcasts our world cup qualifier matches! I love beinsports! do you guys remember when no tv channel cared about showing wcq matches from south America? we would consider ourselves lucky if telemundo showed the games on Saturday night even though the games had taken place 5 days ago! Either way, it surprises me that apparently beinsports isn't going to broadcast Chile vs Argentina....
