I am lukewarm on Spalletti. He has been in Russia for years. He had three straight years without a title before getting the sack. You can't say he knows the current Serie A well. It would be wiser to wait and see on Conte or even Allegri (if Juve take Conte back).

Allegri would convert Radja into an AM.

We all thought Juve would eat Allegri alive. And despite the poor start to this season, it hasn't been true.

Not saying he is the first choice, but the guy has been there and done that at big clubs - in Serie A and Europe.

+1. Spalletti comes back with much more experience and a nice budget, but he isn't an A+ coach yet. Maybe with some decent signings, he could be though. He sure gets effort out of his players though.

I like the idea of Lippi coming in until Conte takes over and then staying as a technical director.

Long time reader, 1st time poster because im so tired of this shit

anyone besides Garcia would do right now, we all know that. Based on Roma's adopted new mentality, since the American takeover, the management wants Roma to make that extra step in quality, from a good side to a great one.

Failed experiments one after the other and then we get Garcia. We thought after Rudi's first year, that he would be the one to do so. After the second year, we gave him the benefit of the doubt, but now it's just become apparent to every single one of us that have seen Roma play week in and week out that he simply is not the right man. Stability was needed, and we got it. Results were supposed to come with it, but they didn't.

We need anyone right now to save this sinking ship, simply anyone who would agree to stay with us for the rest of the season. And then we need to spend big for a big experienced manager. I think it's truly what we need. Enough with the experimental coaches. We can't keep doing the same mistakes and expecting different results, its ********ing insanity.

Stop spending millions on young potential players and start focusing your investment on something that we desperately need and that have a chance of producing actual results instead of wasting money on magical players that will come out of their shell one day and save us. Nobody will save us if we keep shooting ourselves in the goddamn foot year after year.

All of that to say that we already have good enough players (we honestly just need a functional RB and a reliable CB, whether Castan or someone else and we're good to go) for an experienced manager to come and simply start to organize this team once and for all. Spend big on what we actually need the most. Is that too much to ask...

Bielsa is a pretty firey character. I'm not sure how that would go down.

Bielsa wouldn't last more than one season here, but what a spectacle it would be, good or bad. lol

I wouldn't mind seeing Eusebio taking charge. He's doing a great job at Sassuolo.

While I admit I'm intrigued by Spalletti, I'm not real gung ho about bringing him back. I wonder how much of our beauty was contributed by a much younger all time great Totti and DDR and Pizarro at the very peaks of their game. I admit I didn't watch many Zenit games, but I'm not generally aware that they played amazing beautiful football under him.

I'm more leaning towards just having somebody competent take the helm until the summer and bringing in di Francesco.

I would love Bielsa but we already have injury prone players, Bielsa leaves teams decimated with injuries, a la Klopp

the players need a kick in the pants, its not ALL RGs fault, they have to take some of the blame. A 6 month boot camp is exactly what's needed if we want to end up in the CL.

And i think Juve and Inter will 99% be 1st and 2nd in wtv order i couldnt care less. This means that 3rd place will have to be decided between Roma, Napoli and Fiorentina... We need someone to get shit done right away!

Say what you want about tactics and this and that... but if you are paid, let alone paid millions to play a GAME of FOOTBALL, then you have to go out there and bust your ass until the final minute.

    very interesting read!

He certainly does more often than not end on disastrous terms with the teams he's managed bar Inter and Porto i think, but he still kept landing big jobs. But the one thing he always stood for was the fact that he never criticized his players publicly, up until now.

Maybe this will be it for Mourinho for a while especially as all the "big clubs" seem to be settled or already have a good replacement deal for their current managers.

Wishful thinking for him to be at Roma next season? Unless he takes over Portugal, (i have no idea what their current manager situation is) our project could seem potentially interesting for him, bar his ego, to get himself on top again. This, or he will go to Atletico Madrid if Simeone leaves for Chelsea.

This will most definitely be wishful thinking if we don't end up in the CL though.
