This is how I think it will play out: We will lose the upcoming games against strong counties, as a reaction the KNVB in their delusional mind will schedule friendlies against weak opponents, thinking we will walk over them like we used to in the past. but will also lose / draw those games and thereby losing a lot of points.

Who knows, perhaps we will even get our ass kicked by Hungary.:ROFLMAO:

Any reason why Blind turned 360 from his provisional squad to include Memphis now? A call from LVG?
IMO Robben is not required for these matches. It is time to test other players but apparently the result is critical to the coach's survival so......

This German team doesnt look THAT strong actually (still stronger than Oranje of course).

Neuer best keeper in the world. Lahm is retired.
In the back they are strong with Boateng/ Hummels.

Midfield doesnt look all that hot, Schweini is somewhat over the hill. Schurrle isnt a first team player at VflW.
Sane and Gundogan are talented, but rookies.

Up front the only guy that scares me is Muller.
Podolski and Gomez are past it, and the other forwards are so-so

    De volledige selectie:

Doel: Manuel Neuer (Bayern München), Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen), Kevin Trapp (Paris Saint-Germain), Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover 96)

Verdediging: Jérôme Boateng (Bayern München), Emre Can (Liverpool), Matthias Ginter (Borussia Dortmund), Jonas Hector (1. FC Köln), Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund), Shkodran Mustafi (Valencia), Antonio Rüdiger (AS Roma), Sebastian Rudy (TSG Hoffenheim)

Middenveld: Julian Draxler (VfL Wolfsburg), Ilkay Gündogan (Borussia Dortmund), Sami Khedira (Juventus), Christoph Kramer (Bayer Leverkusen), Leroy Sané (Schalke 04), André Schürrle (VfL Wolfsburg), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Manchester United),

Aanval: Kevin Volland (TSG Hoffenheim), Lukas Podolski (Galatasaray), Thomas Müller (Bayern München), Mario Gómez (Besiktas), Max Kruse (VfL Wolfsburg) en Karim Bellarabi (Bayer Leverkusen).

Possibly running out of options with El Ghazi is injured. But most likely, Blind just wanted to make a statement to Depay.. playing the tough guy.

I personally think Gundogan is the best CM in the world with Luka Modric or perhaps a shade behind. He is better than what Schweinsteiger was in his prime IMO, due to his playing style. He is one of Bundesliga's best players. He was Dortmund's main man prior to his injury and this season he has been the best BL CM IMO. Amazing player.

Muller is good upfront. I think they will line up with Kruse (ST), good player and maybe Bellarabi (Leverkusen - pretty decent player). I rate Kruse. Or Maybe Draxler at LW/RW.

I think Reus, Lahm are big misses though.

I would drop Schweinsteiger and start with Kramer-Gundogan. It's still a good team IMO. We can barely beat Iceland and Turkey

Ask Jugi Loew. Probably he wants to try out some new players.

Yeah, plus he probably figures NL is so weak right now he could propably beat us with his B-team.

It's a chance to try some new players plus no or shorter winter break compared to the Germany-based players.

Riedewald is injured and Pieters is called up to replace him. I watched Stoke vs Chelsea. Pieters is doing ok, nothing special. Afellay sub in the last 15 minutes and I liked what he showed in this 15 minutes. If he keeps up, perhaps opportunity for a starting berth with Stokes will come.
I read that Blind called Kuyt to see if he can come and help, and Kuyt declined because he wanted a starting role. I think there is a misinterpretation somewhere along the line because this is not what I would expect to hear from Kuyt. Why can't the reporter/journalist in this case just print it as it is and do not interpret using their own words?

  25. ???
I saw Blind on television and that was exactly what he said.
