    Some fun from his Twitter:

The text says something to the effect of "Can someone please tell me why I'm not in the lineup?"

    ;)

Poor guy, injuries have really derailled his time at RB, and with them brining in even more attacking players like Selke and Sabitzer, it's going to be very difficult for him to find a way back in.

I wouldn't go in that bush. Looks like he could find a WWII era land mine back there.

Pretty good interview. Talks about his Twitter followers, the darks times he had to go through while injured, and what exactly happened to his knee.

He essentially says that he's been very careful because if he pushes it too hard and has another set back his career could be done.

Also talks about having to do his rehab next to elderly folks who are rehabbing to just be able to get by day after day. Also he rehabbed with different players as well, such as Senad Lulic and Julian Draxler.

He's maintained contact with JK and they talk about every three-four months. He believes he'll be able to get back on the field in about a month. He can run and shoot, but he doesn't have the soccer movements and fitness down just yet. He says he knows he'll have to fight hard to get a spot in the team. He says the team is lacking a bit of the killer instinct needed to see them through to the Bundesliga, but he also knows they're one of the strongest teams in the league position by position.

Most interesting is when the interviewer asks him about why he didn't play for Werder, since he's actually from Bremen. He says that when he was younger he wasn't "good enough" for the team and they wouldn't have him. Then he played in a state tournament and scored a few goals. Afterwards, several teams asked about him (Hertha, Wolfsburg, Köln, Schalke...) including Werder. He says out of principle there was no way he was going to play for them because they didn't want him when he was younger. *swoon*

I can't wait to see him break through. His is a story I love to follow.

    (Edit: tag teaming with Deeneaus)

In this one, he says Klinsmann checks in on him every 3-4 months, but, although he wants to be a part of the 2018 WC team, he is not really thinking about the national team right now - he is more worried about getting back on the field.
His goal is to be completely back in time for Winterpause training camp.

He's from Bremen but never played for them because 1) he wasn't good enough when he was young and they didn't want him and 2) when he finally started turning heads he didn't want to play for them on principle because they didn't want him earlier. Instead he went to Hertha.

Says playing in the Reginalliga was and is good for him because he always had to get better technically. Overall, he just wants to play and will play in the Kreisliga.
