Yedlin's joining the squad in loan. I wonder if he'll get regular run at right back, or if they'll use his speed on the right side of midfield like when he's with the U.S. If it's the latter he could be cutting into the potential minutes available for Gooch.
I will be surprised if we hear much about Gooch this season, and I don't think it would of made much a difference if Yedlin hadn't arrived. Borini has been brought in, Defoe, Graham and Fletcher weren't loaned or sold.

How many times have you watched him play? His best position is either as a Second Striker or on the Right wing. He's a very talented player, can beat people off the dribble, and really has a nose for goal. He went on loan last year and scored a few really nice goals, and always shown the ability to strike the ball with both feet. He's also really improved with his passing, and has been known to pick out the killer ball when playing out wide with the U21s on occasion.
You've got a larger sample size then. I'll keep an eye on him doesn't change my current opinion though. Just means I need more info.
People underrate him. He's hit the post 2-3 times with the u20s unlucky so he could have 2 goals in 4 appearances for them they were really good strikes too. On top of that he was played out of position he definitely one to keep an eye on. I thought he should have been at the u20 WC with the striker shortage we had. Smh
Throughout the entire cycle, he played 19 games with the US scoring once and assisting none. He played some LM but mostly as an 8. They definitely weren't his preferred position. Tommy Thompson probably got his spot as the supporting striker. Thompson had 3 goals and 1 assist in 21 games with the U20s.
