dont worry, klinsmann gonna klinsmann. Shea will be at left back. It is perhaps the one lone stubborn move that I actually have liked in the whole darn process.
You do the best you can with the team you are sent to, Maars has been a prolific scorer in every league that he has played, he just had a hat trick against the league champion in the second to the last game of the season.
I hope Agudelo plays well in these two games, if he plays. It'll help his work permit situation. Maybe he's not going to get a transfer to Europe in the summer window, but a year or so from now it could help his work permit situation in England. He's the type of player that MLS should be trying to keep, but he's almost too talented not to at least get a proper chance in Europe.
Zardes outwide? Agudelo? No formation flexibility. He handicaps himself with his selections like the World Cup. Fabian Johnson yes Wood? Ibarra? Where are the wide players? Ready for Chandler to stink it up again at right back.
Bunbury is a good defender. Heaps seems to have gotten some highly skilled players to work harder defensively. He's done a very good job.
Vogts probably influencing the selections. We're going ultra conservative. So much for American attacking soccer.
Brek Shea is conservative? Yedlin? Fabian? Mix? Bradley? THey do not seem conservative to me. Seem to like to get forward.
A few questions: 1. Apparently Dempsey is awaiting the birth of his child. Is that just a smoke screen for why he wasn't called in or is that the legitimate reason? 2. What does everyone see in Chandler? I've been pretty unimpressed with him and would hope we'd be able to find a better RB option.
I'm not a Guardiola fan. Really don't like the work he's done with Bayern. I'm more of a Mourinho fan. Heaps could be an option. Berhalter and Vermes some others. Kreis' stock is starting to fall. He's done a poor job with NYCFC.
He plays well in the bundesliga.... That just hasn't translated to the U.S. yet. Hopefully it does, but I think he's just too good of a club player to just drop him completely.
Agreed. HE had some great performances this last season in the bundesliga. Really looking forward to next year when bundesliga will be on fox instead of gol tv.
Not advocating to drop him completely. I just don't see the sense in penciling him into the RB spot every match.
No problem with Evans getting called in. Yedlin isn't getting a ton of time, and Chandler has been mediocre in a USMNT jersey. He should absolutely be considered for the Gold Cup, he held up well in the hex. Interesting to see Jones listed as a mid. I hope the center back experiment is over
Did you read it somewhere reputable? I read quite a few articles and saw nothing indicating that. Twellman, who often is on top of these types of things also didn't mention it. You could be right, but I'm waiting for more before I assume that.
OK after a weekend of MLS, A. I've said it before, I'll say it again, there is no way you can convince me that Yarborough is better than a decent MLS keeper like Robles. B. Speaking of decent MLS keepers, Rimando just isn't any longer. C. Brad Freakin' Evans? Is that the answer to no Jones in the middle on D? He is just awful. Everyone except the ref saw the PK he gave up today.
He didn't plan for Jozy and Cameron and Bedoya to be injured and Dempsey's wife to be having another baby. Add those four in and the roster looks pretty different. I think it's perfect to see what guys like Alvarado can do against really good teams. I'm not sure what Bobby Wood is doing on the roster. But I've been saying that for the last however many times he's gotten called up.
Just big soccer posters, so not that reputable. Maybe I am worrying for no reason. I also thought it was weird that nothing about the three snubs was mentioned in the interview posted on the USSoccer.com website. Usually there would be something where he indicates the reasoning. It seems strange. Hopefully we can get some real clarification soon enough.
More and more I think about it, the inclusion of Ibarra/not taking Gonzalez, Besler, Zusi is a big middle finger to MLS and Garber.
