I tend to look at his wayward passes, horrible first touch, bad runs, no runs, no pressure on the ball, not strong enough in the air on set pieces.
Really nice work from Jozy there. He did pull one of the defenders back there, which could have easily been called a foul, but when you battle defenders and strike the ball like that good things can happen out of nowhere.
im disappointed by the lack of possession, but then i reexamine the lineup and i find myself wondering which players are adept at actually holding the ball.
"The US defense look shaky" In other news, sky is blue, water is wet, and the Seahawks should have handed off to Marshawn Lynch.
I didn't say he's a terrific player, but he scores goals when he gets opportunities. I compared him earlier today to a more athletic and more dynamic Wondo. He's not a target #9. Thats why I want to see him as the secondary striker.
Zardes is coming in to create number in midfield and Chandler is staying wide to create width. Not sure about this.
It's the Drunken Master technique. Since they seem lost, they become unpredictable. And it's very hard to crack that which is unpredictable.
players I havent seen on my terrible feed: Garza, FJ, Bacon, Bedoya. Wouldnt know they were on the pitch.
Totally forgot until right now that Jozy and MB are club teammates. That can't be all awfulness and regret, can it Jurgen?
US defense isn't the only one looking shaky, Denmark was horrid on the goal, the center backs seems disorganized and they've been poor playing the ball forward.
Johnson's not a wide midfielder. He's a LB. He only really has average technical skills, which is why he looks so average in midfield. Very little creativity as well.
I wish he was even just decent in the air, if he could play physical and use his strength/size advantage but he often doesn't.
Frankly, I like what I'm seeing so far. Good control in midfield, exploiting their holes well. Yes, the defense is always strange, they seem to lack cohesion. But I'm starting to think that is part of the Klinsmann philosophy.
