One problem with the spurs rumor Yedlin would need a waiver for the UK work visa and i'm kinda doubting he'll get one via waiver
I'm not sure that is the case. Right after the Yedlin to Roma rumors first popped up it was reported that Yedlin's mother is Latvian and, as a result, he might be able to get a Latvian passport. This would allow him to be treated as a European player and he could play in England without a UK work visa.
One of the issues with the roma rumor was that they had to open a non EU spot for Yedlin hence the loan to another club after the sale until roma had that non EU spot open.
Wrong, Roma still have a non-eu spot left... They just didn't want to use it on Yedlin... And now they are looking to bring in Eder Alvarez Balanta (Colombia)
Balanta would be a great signing for you guys. Anyways, I wouldn't mind Yedlin staying with us for another year or two and then going overseas. His situation feels rushed and we need him to help us win the title (greedy rant over)
Bon voyage, Yedlin? Yedlin not at training today. Sigi says he us overseas and GM Adrian Hanauer will fill in details soon.— Don Ruiz (@donruiztnt) August 8, 2014 I'd use whatever the England equivalent of Bon Voyage is, but I don't know what it is. Help me out!!
