Can someone confirm that only the ID of the primary ticketing account will be needed to pick up tickets at the ticketing centers, guest tickets too?

I got a Brazilian friend a Rio QF ticket but didn't have his info so he's now American with a phony passport # on my account. I'd hate to have an issue getting his ticket. His name is correct though.

Just an update for anybody with questions around transferring names of guests after the tickets have been printed.

FIFA replied to our email enquiry today and said "If you chose to have tickets delivered you will be able to transfer the guests but the tickets will not be reprinted if they have already been printed prior to the transfer. The new guest will be able to use the original ticket"

Good news for anybody that wants to swap names around quickly and easily.

I want to make sure that they're actually delivered and if not, that when I try to pick them up, FIFA doesn't claim that they've been delivered and I can't pick them up. I called their help line and they were useless and have emailed but haven't heard a response.

Wear a hat down low and bow your head as much as possible. Give them a lousy photo and that will make it hard for them to ID you!!!

I had already booked my travel plans before having any tickets (first world cup mistake). That said, the only match I can make it to is Match 11 which is proving to be a nightmare to get tickets to after the draw. I know this world cup seems to be in pretty high demand so maybe previous world cup experiences don't directly translate, but I was looking for advice on getting these tickets after I arrive in Brazil. I am hoping to use the fact that I will be in Rio the week leading up to Match 11 to my advantage in getting tickets. I was wondering if you guys have advice for getting tickets once I am in the country leading up to the match, since it looks like that may be my only option considering the currently outrageous resale prices. Or is my best bet to get to the stadium early with cash and look for people reselling there?

funny thing is that while you're buying tickets in this current phase you can see your seating location, but you can not recall it later.

therefore (and because you can already pick them up) I assume all non-conditional seats are already assigned, FIFA just has to switch on that seating location section ON. no clue why they haven't done it yet!

So that should therefore be proof that names on tickets won't be checked at the gate

Would anyone mind checking the FIFA site to see if there is any availability for the Japan v Greece and Italy v Costa Rica game? I can't make either of those games anymore and I'm trying to work if I should risk mailing them back to FIFA (when I receive them) for the resale portal or try on here or privately. Be grateful if someone could let me know. Thank you!

Ticket lanyards will work perfect. I have many from World Series, Final 4, Super Bowl, etc. They should easily fit the WC ticket, hang around your neck, and should be perfect for safe travel w/ tickets around Brazil!

    Hi folks,

I am looking at getting some tickets transferred to myself and my girlfriend from some friends. Our concern is whether we will be able to sit together (we will likely be getting the tickets from two different accounts but plan to trade at the stadium so the groups are sitting together). We are wondering how picky FIFA will be with the names on the tickets etc. Also, will there be a difference between tickets that are couriered and ones that are picked up in Brazil?

I know this question has probably been addressed before, so links to previous answers would also be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Does anybody know if crackdown will be done on hospitality tickets since it is a bit of a different situation with check in and different privileges than a regular ticket?

Don't understand your question. Hospitality tickets do not have names printed on the tickets.
