I don't think anybody ever questioned his talet. It seemed to be a discipline issue. Perhaps he's more motivated to perform at Dortmund. It wouldn't be the first kid to lose motivation at Bradenton.

Two more goals for Gallardo in a 2-2 tie today. Playing with the U15s is fine for a short tournament, but he clearly needs to be with older kids.

I'm sure he'll be moved up soon. It's customary for pro clubs to place a new signee in the youngest appropriate age group to see where he's at. If he shows well they move him up.

bradenton was a waste of time for him. He should have left earlier and join dortmund like he has done now. one's success or lack thereof at bradenton or ynt doesnt portend the outcome of potential. Read the story about Bernard from A. Mineiro in Brasil. Common story worldwide. In USA because of immature system we are cherry picking way too early and as a result we are going to "lose" alot of players. My motto: I don't let USSF determine a youth players worth.

He still hasn't joined Dortmund full time and still might not until April. Dortmund is filing a petition with FIFA for him to move full time to Dortmund in September when he's 17.5 y/o.

The 2013 Mexican Apertura is starting this weekend for the first teams as well as the U-20s and U-17s.

So far today the following players have made game day squads:

Samuel Velazquez Tapia; a goalkeeper from San Clemente, CA born 4/3/1997; was on the bench today for the Club Tijuana U-17s. He made one start for the Club Tijuana U-17s during the Clausura.

Víctor Reyes Domínguez; a defender from Anaheim, California born 2/2/1996; went the distance today for the Querétaro U-17s and picked up a yellow card in a 1-0 loss to Monarcas.

Gabriel Martinez; a defender from Modesto, California born 4/26/1996; as an unused sub for the Monarcas Morelia U-17s.

On a side note, if anyone else wants to find Mexican youth team squads go here, scroll down and on the right until you see Liga MX in a drop down box, click on the drop down arrow and select either Sub 20, Sub 17, or Sub 15. Finally, click on versus if the game has been started to get the lineup.

I've noticed that on Wikipedia and a few other sites, Alejandro Guido (and Paul Arriola) are listed on the roster of Dorados de Sinaloa. If you look at Arriola's picture on the LigaMX website, you'll see that he's even wearing a Dorados shirt (you can see the mahi-mahi logo and it's obviously not Tijuana colors). There are six other players in Tijuana's matchday 18 who are also wearing Dorados shirts in their profile pics.

So does Tijuana have s0me sort of development deal with Dorados? Can we expect to see Guido and possibly Arriola in the Ascenso MX on loan this year?
