Well, 20th July is when your preperation can start when you play EAFF Championship against South Korea. It's going to be a big year.

Unfortunately Australia is a bit like USA, our players come from around the globe so they can't be together in camp for every game. I'd say that will be the case for the upcoming tournament. We desperately need friendlies held in Europe if this team and the newer players are going to build a better understanding. Needless to say 2014 is going to be our toughest World Cup yet.

I think we should use the East Asian Cup as an opportunity to bring some of the younger lads up and get them ready. Brazil will be the final go for our golden generation, it is time to focus on bring up the next generation of Socceroo heros, to make sure we KEEP qualifying for the world cup

Well done Socceroos. Kept every supporter on the edge of their seats through the entire qualification up to late in the last game..................but we are there.

Our most under used player in that squad (for what he can offer) was the one who got us home. Well done Josh. Disappointed not to see more of you in the recent past.

Disappointed at the dummy spit of Timmys, especially with the limited impact he has had compared to what a true striker would have.

I'm glad he spat the dummy. Shows he cares.

To quote a Keanu Reeves movie - winners always want the ball when the game is on the line.

I'm glad you produced the first picture of the campaign Hachiko. Two future stars of Australian football. (Rogic and Oar). Both will be very hard to shut down.

Tom Rogic must be a winner then. In his first 7 minutes on the pitch he almost created 3 chances. Not realistic one's but that will come.

I have to admit, I have been quite impressed with the young guys this campaign. We will have a workmanlike team in 4 years, I think.

I agree. As long as they keep progressing I'll be happy.

I think our respective federations should at least organise a friendly before the World Cup.

Timmy spat the dummy because he was taken off and thought it was all about him. It was childish, not in the least bit professional to be swiping at your coaches face on that stage.
It was just fortunate for Aust they were able to bring on a real finisher rather than rely on the 'clean up the scraps hit and miss goal sneak' that Cahill has become.

On a side note: how well would David Gallop be sleeping at the moment.

He's boss of a Code that has just qualified for the biggest sporting event in world, whereas 12 months ago he was the Rugby League boss. Today if he was still Rugby League boss he would this week be dealing with:
sexual assault allegations regarding a rep player
a state of origin coach stealing grog from a pub
another rep player being caught driving without a drivers licence and 4 times over the blood alcohol limit

I'm betting his glad he was fired 12 months ago now.

Swiping at the coach's face? Not sure what game you were watching.

I'd want any attacking player to be absolutely spewing at being substituted with 10 minutes to go, with a goal vital. If he wasn't upset then it means either he didn't care about the result, or he didn't believe he was the best player to deliver it. Both loser mentalities. Good players believe they can make a difference, and want to make a difference.

I think the way he celebrated at Josh's goal indicates he was all about the team, not personal glory.

The same one that the writer of the Front Page of the Telegraph also watched, as the story is there for all to see.
Sometimes i guess we like to wear blinkers.

Seems like a similar attitude the team had when at their first Asia Cup under Arnie.........and look how that worked out.

Just like i believe the arrogant attitude in your post would indicate you are no more than a work of crap. :devilish:

Well I'll have some of what you two are smoking. It's a somewhat unique interpretation of their interaction, that's for sure.

Couldn't have said it better myself. ;)

It is, but not when stupidity reigns.
I'm arrogant. Phew I don't even post here that often anymore.

    Take a break.
