Huh? What's the percentage of the NFL fans that would keep on the same channel for a soccer match instead of switching to a different channel, you know, the one broadcasting an actual NFL game?

Besides, not all affiliates even cleared the EPL match. Many went into the local NFL post-game shows.

Who carries Univision Deportes--is it only Spanish language packages? I haven't watched any of the playoffs since so few games have been on the other stations.

Yes, Spanish and perhaps sports packages, I have Dish Latino so I have the channel, my uncle does not have the Latino or the sports package, so I had to cut short my thanks giving stay.

I am not sure in ATT what package they offer UDN on. As far as I know Dish and ATT are the only two operators that offer the channel.

Verizon FiOS carries it as well.

That's a pretty slow adoption rate!

I hope they put the final legs on other channels, I think that's what they did for the Clausura finals.

These new Liga MX channels give me a solid excuse of why I quit watching the league - I can't find any of their games!

MLS tv rights deal is what? $30 mil a year?
EPL is now at $83.3 mil a year

I don't think Mexican League is that high. But it should be somewhere between MLS and EPL tv rights.

Does anyone have a source for Liga MX matches on over the air channels?

I am willing to bet in terms of viewership, that Liga MX matches over the air would easily trump MLS or even the upcoming EPL. However, I doubt there is much overlap between the two audiences due to the "parallel americas" effect. Liga MX audiences are primarily Mex-Am, while I believe EPL/MLS audiences are much wider predominantly Anglo speaking peeps.

Liga MX has sheer numbers behind it, but there are a lot of caveats that need to be mentioned there. The EPL is clearly slightly more popular amongst anglophone Americans.

It's Telemundo's job to turn the EPL into a "spanish" league.

NBC is giving the EPL the "premier" status.

It will be interesting to see the growth of EPL versus MLS in the USA.

EPL will grow first. MLS will probably stay flat for a few years, but the growth should happen eventually and it will be a lot higher for MLS than EPL.

EPL has the current status as it has the "brands" that everyone knows. The MLS will need time to grow.

I agree 110% look at Spain! Real Madrid and Barca have always been in the top and is not until the last few years that Spain team has been on top.
