Press Officer Michael Kammarman said today he thought there was an official US Soccer bar in Raleigh, the CrabTree Tavern. Is this correct? Are folks meeting there to watch either the Argentina or Paraguay games? The bar doesn't list either of these games on their events web page.
To become the Official Bar of US Soccer, all you have to do is pay the USSF a marketing fee. Crabtree Tavern has in fact done this and we've been there a couple of times. I cannot recommend the experience and no longer go there (for match watching or otherwise) Your best bet is to follow what TSF/American Outlaws does at http://events.trisoccerfan.com I need to get something up for the Argentina game.

CT is the only official US Soccer bar in the state, other than the one in Charlotte. To WJARETTC........ I am the new manager at Crabtree Tavern and a big footy fan. I have been following the US since the days of 94 (Ramos, Wynalda, Balboa, Lalas, Harkes) and a big fan of Fulham since Brian McBride played there and kept them from relegation. I wish Eddie Johnson could have made an impact like Dempsey, but realize that Zamora would get the minutes. Anyway, I was hoping to talk to you directly as to what I can do to earn another chance to become a premier destination for you and other fans of the beautiful game.
