3 points. Now let us never ever speak of the time where Donovan and Bradley were hurt and Clint wasn't match fit and we nearly dropped 5 out of 6 points to 100 Meter Dash FC again.

We won, so I don't have to kill myself.

But if we keep playing like that, then I'm not sure what I'm really living for.

Zusi did a very good job, Danny Williams was great as D-Mid.

Jurgen's subs didn't look so hot tonight

I was begging for Klinsman to take Dempsey out for the last half an hour. He was exhausted.

We might well have lost. Yeah he was rusty, but his movement and positioning is so important up front.

Danny Williams in the center, or don't play him at all.

Danny Williams really flashed his potential tonight. He was fantastic in the middle. Hopefully this means Beckerman won't need to be the holding mid anymore.

After the goal, Jamaica started to play and the US couldn't pass well enough. Thank goodness Jamaica decided to concede until the goal because it may have been a different result.

That's true, but we seemed to be bunkering before they came on for some dumbass reason. The team as a whole was making runs before the goal which they just stopped making. Sure you can blame the subs, and bringing Edu on for Zusi made little sense to me, but when the ball was advanced the guys didn't have the same options as pre-goal, as they were sitting back and not making the same runs.

Struggling to figure out why. Can't just pin it on a player or two imo, as the entire team took their foot off the pedal before the subs ever entered. The runs vanished. The options vanished. Numbers going forward vanished. Guys just sat back so there was no hope when we did advance it.

Danny Williams was great at D-mid, much better than Beckerman has played in my opinion. Given, Jamaica realllly sat back until the goal was scored. I was disappointed with how much we gave up possession after the goal, but again Jamaica started pressuring higher up the field. Like was said, a win is a win. Would've been nice to get 2 though.

    1. Great first half.
    2. Weak second half.
    3. Awful final 10 minutes.
    4. Zusi and Cherundolo looked great on the right
    5. Williams looked very creative
    6. Dempsey look half a step slow, killed 4-5 attacks with awful touches or not picking his head up, and was the worst player on the field for us tonight.
    7. I'll take it. On to the next one.

We were owed after that first half. Terribly relieved now. Going to drink another beer and go chase the wife around. I'll check in tomorrow morning.

    This. Jamaica underrated themselves tonight.

Anyway, 3 points is 3 points.

Gomez man of the match, followed by Danny Williams.

Williams had such good control over the ball, good tackling, use of his body to block those physical jamaicans, and looks like a great replacement for a def. mid jones.

He will give Bradely a run for his money in the 6 position.

Again though, this game lacked Bradley and Donovan's presence. Zusi was a good replacement for the first half, but after the goal, Jamaica came out pressing and showed why Zusi is still MLS quality when pressure is put on. Donovan was missing. Not to take anything away from Zusi though... at times he looked and reminded me of Donovan!!!

Torres was good just as zusi in the first half, but like others have said, pushing him to the wings doesn't do him much service. He was constantly trying to pinch in, and when he did, had good passes down the middle to Deuce, niec through balls to Cherundolo, to Gomez, etc. Did well enough though, considering we were against a very very hungry Jamaica.

Cameron was great. Faban Johnson in the first half, with his runs down the wing was really dangerous stuff.

Dempsey is VEEERY rusty right now....He should have only played IMO, max 60 mins.

Howard played great! Cherundolo shows how he can come out BIIIIG for these games. Showd his composure. Boca too had his moments with his solid defensive heading.

Subs: Shea - Didn't do well enough for Torres. IMO Torres had better moments truthfully.... he didn't show the 'shea' that came in vs. Mexico...

Altidore - Looked Hungry, but still off rhythem from everyone else....

Edu - Stopped a play or two that could have been very dangerous... but had some sloppy give aways.... don't blame JK for bringing him in though.

Bottom line... it's seriously soooo scary without Bradley or Donovan in a match, and a RUSTY Dempsey... same as our last Friday game..

The biggest reason the Edu sub hurt our attack had nothing to do with Edu. It had everything to do with the fact that Williams moved back out to the wing, where he looked lost, as a result of Edu coming in.

We've seen Williams on the wings before, and he hasn't impressed. There's no need to keep going back to that.
