    Sorta not crew related.

Does anyone remember Knox Cameron? Finished playing for the Crew in 2006, 30 appearances 4 goals. Can you give me anything you remember on his style of play?

We just picked him up in Detroit for Detroit City FC.

    Thanks all.

Wow that's going back. I have officially purged most of my memory banks of 2006, but I know where I sat was called Fort Knox, with a banner to show it. I seem to recall him being ok, but specifics escape me. I know he played for the Mid-Michigan Bucks at one time too...

No specific recollections, just a vague "he was alright" feeling. Can't remember anything that wow'ed me nor anything that really pissed me off.

I remember he had an awful first touch, was pretty tall and once scored two goals in a game. That's about it.

"Knox Blox" he was known as in 107, due to his gelatinous feet that the ball bounced off of for turnovers time and again.

Accurate description. He had roots. Target forward who was not mobile, and had a terrible first touch. Welcome back, Knox!

Yea, I forgot how horribly gangly and unathletic he was.

If you guys beat the Fire, we totally need to buy out the game and have it here so we can see Knox in action again ;)

I wonder if Billy would hang the "Fort Knox" sign again :D

He's tall but wasn't very good in the air in MLS.

He was a pretty heavy dude. Slow with a bad touch.

I thought it was Detroit City FC who was playing the Fire in the open cup. I must just be confused by all the mitten teams now ;)

Do you recall whether Cameron was who Casey referred to as "dum-dum 1" or "dum-dum 2" at the Carolina Cup?

He was one of them, yes. I think Kei Kamara was his sidekick?

Ah Fort Knox, those were the days...he wasn't the greatest but he loved the support we gave him...we still do have the sign...we hang it maybe once a year now, along with Bob Saget.....

Dude, Bob Saget needs to hang every game. Remember what it did for us in 2008? ;)

Nope. Schoenfeld is worlds more athletic than Knox.

I agree, it just became a hassle because every time we hang it someone tries to take it...

Yes. That is who I recalled before you mentioned him. I suppose that corroborates the other dum-dum as Kamara. Though, he is doing well, unlike Cameron. (sort Bradd)

Regardless, he played beautifully for DCFC on Saturday. Scored the first of 3 goals for the team as we kicked Erie's ass 3 - 0.
