    Reporting for duty!!

Maybe this belongs in a separate thread, but what we were thinking since the Seattle metro area is so spread out and we're all over the place geographically... is to have ECS as an umbrella group and have North Sound/South Sound/Eastside and Westside subgroups.

This makes getting together for periodic meetings, tifo construction, etc a lot easier. We'd still plan on getting together as an entire group every so often, but the geographic subgroups would do so more often.

the subgroups need to find a soccer-friendly pub or bar near their location to meet. This will allow other members to come and visit easily. Plus they would be great rally points for the groups. Maybe some bars will organize vanpools or busses...

Say north side has G and D or St Andrews and Eastside has 3 lions and so on.

I dont know why I say this stuff...i am sure you already know what to do.

I like the G&D, but they were not really "Sounder friendly" until MLS came to town.

Are there plans for fans that don't live in the Seattle area any more? Then again finding a pub or sports bar that will show Seattle MLS games here in Hawaii might be a bit tough.

They also 86 people for silly things.
So if you tend to get rowdy, even in jest... I wouldn't bother.

As a former bartender I have to say only drunks and asshats get 86'ed. If you can't follow the rules go home. I'm just saying.:p

I don't think I have ever been 86'd from a bar/pub, and I have done some amazingly stupid shit back in the day. :D

Funny, ECS leadership and security detail kept you guys from getting stomped on by 100+ before the game. If you really wanted to get into it why didn't you actually try to get by the line of ECS preventing anything from happening? or go after them?

    Hi everyone,
I recently moved back from Europe and have held off in picking a MLS club to support until I found one I could really connect with. During my years in Europe, I always supported the club closest to the place I lived since, IMHO, such a connection with my "neighborhood" was vital to being part of the community.

Now I find that I may be moving to the Puget Sound area this summer and part of why I'm excited is the chance to connect with a soccer culture which resembles a lot of what I experienced in over a decade in Europe. I started feeling more like a Sounders fan when I saw the passion they played with...not to mention the passion of the supporters. Now, living in the area and going to matches will seal the deal for me.

I plan to get to a match as soon as I arrive to start getting the juices flowing!

    See you all soon!

    Chris
