9.1 Indonesia - PSV Eindhoven cancelled. No surprise... http://www.aseanfootball.org/?p=7221&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
This is exactly what I mean !!! ... I believe that it will be waste of players energy to play a useless friendly against such a team which is not even near the caliber of Australian team and God forbid, if any crucial player gets injured then Saudi will be in more trouble than ever before as Saudi are playing a MUST WIN GAME AGAINST AUSTRALIA !!!... Any result for Saudi Arabia apart from a Win will mean that Saudi Arabia is Out and will miss WC 2014 in Brazil similar to missing WC 2010 in South Africa. The Saudi FA should take some Serious Responsibility and play against big Clubs if the FA is not capable of arraning friendly matches against Big Nations before facing Australia on 29th Feb 2012 !!!
From your post in Hong Kong thread : Hong Kong won the 34th Guangdong-Hong Kong Cup after winning by penalties. The match ended in a 0:0 draw after 120 minutes. During the penalties, Guangdong's national team goalkeeper Yang Zhi was injured after making two great saves. But he had to be replaced by an outfield player and he could not save another HK penalty kick, while 2009 EAG hero saved from Zhang Ya-Fei to make the score 6:7 to HK.

We may play against Korea Republic instead of Tailand, but on 25th of February. http://twitter.com/uzbff/
I've heard that the Thai coach isn't interested in playing Uzbeistan but somewhere along the lines he was being forced to play the match. Might have gotten his way now for it to be cancelled.
Since the match with Thailand is not scheduled at FIFA, Korea Republic sent us an invitation to play a friendly on 25th of February, so maybe our federation thought it is better to play against a much stronger opponent and so closed their eyes on football ethic and canceled the match against Thailand. 26.01.2012 UAE - Uzbekistan in Dubai http://twitter.com/uzbff/ Since Abramov is the head of both NT and Olympic NT, he is taking both teams to Dubai(except European foreigners), so there is no exact info with which team we gonna play with UAE, most probably it will be a mixture from both teams.
Thailand apparently have a camp in UAE in Feb aswell, and looking to play a match there. The Uzbek team by all accoutnts for the Thai match would have been a 'B' team, so makies sense for all parties to go their own way.
So it is now confirmed that the match with Thailand is cancelled and we will play with Korea Republic on 25th of February. Abramov today gave an interview and said that for both matches (Korea and Japan) he will take mainly Olympic team players. Just 2 note: Olympic NT will play with Iraq on 22nd of February in Qatar. the-uff.com

Iran likely to play Azerbaijan during their training camp in Dubai lat Feb http://www.tehrantimes.com/sports/94227-iran-likely-to-play-azerbaijan
I'll be happy if that takes place but not late February as it seems we have a friendly lined up with Jordan. I doubt Carlos Quieroz would want to have two exhibition matches in such a short manner of time prior to World Cup qualifier against Qatar. Im also satisfied with the Jordan friendly, it will be a good test for team melli. Recent reports says that Sweden offered to have a friendly in Dubai (or was it Doha, Qatar), but Iran declined the offer which seems to have pissed off many fans. However Im swedish Iranian and I know the team they are going to send is a list comprised of U-23 and U-21 and other players from domestic league that has not ever played together before. I believe Jordan will be a tougher test. However there was also some talks or negotiations with Ivory coast, according to iranian media, for a friendly in January which seems to have not bear any fruit and that is disappointing. I would have loved for that to happen.
http://extratime.az/article.php?aid=264162 According to this report, not very likely due to Iran's match with Jordan on 23rd February. Azerbaijan will leave for Dubai on 22nd February and stay until 1st March. Syria has been mentioned as a possible opponent. http://bit.ly/xLM5cx Main reason - Iran want to hold a match on 23.2 (as they have WCQ against Qatar on 29.2). This date is unsuitable for Azerbaijan, as they leave for Dubai only on 22.2. Azerbaijan want to play a match on the FIFA date (29.2), but Iran obviously cannot play on this date. So, it looks unlikely the match will take place.
I guess something could still be arranged if the friendly was to be held 25 or 26th of february, but it would most probably mean Iran's bench players would be playing, as we are facing Jordan the 23rd.
That was a charity match . Philippines played under the name Azkals Alyansa , but still all players have been playing for senior and U23 NT. Philippines lost 1-3 .
CIV FA website report that the Lebanon friendly will be played on 16. January ? http://www.fif-ci.com/une-details.php?newsID=3815
