3 min of overtime. Kyoto still not giving up, a spirited attack, but Tokyo is crowding the box.

Tokyo victory is imminent, but Thumbs up to Kyoto!

Congratulations, FC TOKYO! Emperor's Cup Winners, promotion to J1 and a spot in 2012 AFC CL.

It was a great game of Japanese football.

Sanga a bit tired from the heroic semifinal, and FC Tokyo with more quality, especially in three men: Lucas, Konno and Gonda. Give one of them to Kyoto, and it could have been a tie.

Sanga also playing with a MF (Ando) and a SB (Morishita) as CBs, Alair injured and Akimoto suspended: could not put up with Lucas' speed, experience and class.

With that said, no doubts that FCT was better today and deserved the win.

Still a great ride for Sanga, and likely a bright future for Yuya Kubo. Today as well he scored and changed the tide of the game. Imagine what he could do in a club that can provide him the training he needs and deserves...!

I think I saw that... as I was running to chase Lucas for the photo. Which I got, by the way!

It was an incredible match; not only did I fulfill a dream by shooting my team, but we won! It's still not quite real to me yet...

Both teams made a lot of stupid mistakes, but after a grueling season that's par for the course. Kyoto put the fear of hell in us a couple of times and if they keep up their form I would definitely consider them a strong candidate for promotion this year. They have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

Honestly, appearing in the ACL is just a bonus after today. I don't have high expectations unless we make 2-3 blockbuster signings (not just good, but BLOCKBUSTER), but it will be a fantastic experience for the team and supporters.

Just because his name was brought up, I met Lucas after the round of 16 match in Mito, and just wanted to say that he is a class act and very gracious. I'm glad that he's staying in Japan and that he's helping bring Tokyo this kind of success.
