I think you still are missing some points out. Kamatamare had the stadium to go up this season and was told all the time they had a stadium good enough to go up, therefore people come to ground. With Nagasaki its completely opposite they have been told all the way that they couldnt go up because of lacking stadium, people simply dont wanna pay when the team has no chance to go up.

Besides Japanese fans likes the Idea to go up tp J-League more than playing, thats why most teams has fewer attendances when going up, and probably the main reason behind the famous slump and crisis after 1996.

Sorry to say this but front office has been saying J-League 2012 was not the aim but 2013 was. Nagasaki will be more serious promotion contender than Kamatamare the coming season.

Also Nagasaki actually drew a lot higher attendance at Regional level, and the last season before going up to JFL there budget was 83.500.000 yen which is half of the required for associate membership, thats actually cuite good at that level.

I have to eat my words back about Nagasaki being a serious J-League contender through the 2012 JFL campaign, I just found out that Nagasaki Kokutai will not be held in 2013 but in 2014 that means stadium not ready for 2013 season and thus no J-League for Nagasaki in 2013.

New details about the system. According to the article this proposition only waits to be acknowledged as a temporary system for the first season. The number of teams from JFL and J2 was limited to four (instead of 6 mentioned earlier): 2 lowest from J2 and 2 best from JFL as there wasn't enough teams meeting the J League's requirements (J League's Associate Members) in JFL as Artem mentioned earlier. Here are the rules:

    1. If the two top teams from JFL will meet the requirements the last team from J2 will be automaticaly relegated with the first team from JFL replacing that club and there will be a game between 21st team from J2 and 2nd from JFL.

    2. If only the first team from JFL will meet the requirements, the last one from J2 will be automaticaly relegated and the 21st team from J2 will stay in J2.

    3. If only second team from JFL will meet the requirements, they will play a game with the last team from J2 and 21st team from J2 will stay in J2.

    4. If both top teams from JFL won't meet the requirements the two worst teams from J2 will stay in J2.

    Right?

Yes I also read it that way.

I sse thats a compromise, which means the chance that Machida and Matsumoto will go directly down are close to Zero.

However going up to JFL for the 2013 season will be extremely difficult, since Sagawa Shiga will take one of the 2 top places, it might discourage future JFL teams to get an Associated Membershib. If only one team gets relegated this teams future are also praised (especially if its Mito or Ehime).

Oh well promotion difficulty are just back to 2005 level ^^

Machida 2-1 Sanuki, Nagasaki 3-3 JEF Chiba B. MACHIDA IS IN!!!

So that also means Fujieda and Hoyo Oita are in JFL as well... Another company team, sigh...

Actually as far as i know Hoyo is not an company team, but build around a company with no formal ties to the company.

HOYO and Fujieda both aim to join the J. League, and YSCC has the capacity to do so with the desire to do so.

What will HOYO and YSCC do? They dont like Fujieda play in a city without a J-League club. I hardly can imagine that Yokohama city has space for a 3rd. club and Oita isnt exactly i big city (The city being on same size as Matsumoto). So would they relocate or????

And Machida, Shonan, and Sagamihara are near enough. But with relegation to JFL, the market can decide. Unsuccessful excess local clubs don't have to stick around.

So if HollyHock are relegated to JFL and close down you say "it was the market" and abandon them?

I wouldn't abandon the team. But it would be hypocritical to suggest that my favorite team be considered differently. A team that closes due to relegation is sad but that means the fans don't provide the support. Which is why if a team CAN get that support to be promoted to J2, they deserve that spot regardless of neighbors.

If another team in Mito or nearby obtained huge support I also think it would be wrong to try and block their promotion because the city isn't big enough. Tsukuba and Hitachi cities both have teams wanting to go pro.

In principle you are right Vendo that a promoted team in principle can tap sponsorships from a relegated team, but I dont think fans move away that fast.

If one of the Kanagawa clubs goes down to JFL it wouldnt mean that YSCC would become popular. Not unless they get a more sexy image. :D

An update on the who's-going-to-take-the-remaining-space-in-the-Kanto-League-now-YSCC-have-got-promoted issue.

The four teams that got knocked out in the Quarter Finals of the prefectural play-off tournament will play their own mini play-off over the weekend of 14/15 January. In what amounts to the semi-finals, Tokyo 23 FC will play Honda Luminozo Sayama, and Ibaraki Teachers will play Tonan Maebashi Satellite. Details on the Kanto League site, here.

Nothing official, but Cobaltore Onagawa look as if they're expecting to participate in an eight-team Division 2 (South) next year, judging by the graphic on the right-hand side of their home page, here.

It will be interesting to follow what is possible in tohoku next season as it seems Fukushima United will have difficulties in having a competitive team. It seems they have postponed their selection because almost no potential participants had applied to it.

Any official news of how the relegation/promotion between JFL and J2 will work? Or do we know at least when it will be decided?

    A quick Regional League update.

Azul Claro Numazu from Shizuoka and Gifu's FC Kawasaki are promoted to Division 2 of the Tokai League for 2012 after winning an eight-way play-off staged in Aichi over this weekend.

FC Osaka beat Kansai University FC 2008 3-1 on Sunday and are promoted to Division 2 of the Kansai League; Kansai University have a further chance to join them via an additional play-off in two weeks' time against the seventh-placed Division 2 team from 2011, Renaiss Health and Medical College.

Also in Kansai, Tojitsu Shiga FC have announced a name change and are now known as Lagend Shiga FC.

FC Kawasaki is the Kawasaki Heavy Industries team whose plant is located in Kakagamihara, Gifu, right Furtho?

I have no idea, although that sounds perfectly possible. FC Kawasaki played - very unsuccessfully - at Tokai League level in 2006 and 2007, so this represents a return to Regional League football for them.

In other news, a rare Regional-League-to-J-League transfer has just been announced, with young Ain Food goalkeeper Minoru Hata joining his hometown club Roasso Kumamoto.

furtho, RSSSF claims that there wasn't any relegation in the Tōhoku leagues this year, neither between Div. 1 and Div. 2 nor between Div. 2 and the Prefectural leagues - but I also know that RSSSF is far less reliable than they were a couple of years ago.

Can you shed any light on this? And another thing, when is the Kyūshū playoffs?
